For those of you that didn't see the pic in the other thread. Here is a Charger I was looking to get. I went to work the deal on it and this is what I found.

Before:

Now:

A few people have asked about parts. It has a 150 Speedo. I may still get it to part.

What a bunch of tools! That sucks man, best of luck to ya.

I wouldnt say "crushed" but yeah, what a bunch of Idiots  :flame: probably needed more room so decided to stack them up like that. I still think you could get what's useable off that Charger.

Mr.Woolery

I'd be interested in buying the hideaways off of it.

I'm really surprised to see a modern day junkyard that has not already crushed all of it's old classic cars. The junkyards around here only stock newer cars, because newer car parts bring more money. They crush the older ones immediately after recieving them.

Its funny they stuck the useless beat up POS 4 door blue car on top of the charger. If you need room why not stick the charger on top of the blue car??

69DodgeCharger

Did you really expect anything different from a yard owner/manager? If they have to actually lift a finger to make a dollar or save a parts car, well not likely to happen. They are truly some of the laziest people I have ever met in my life, and some of the dumbest. There are exceptions I just haven't met any yet. Prime examples:

Muse's - Paris, Michigan
South Side Auto - Reed City, Michigan
Hilliard's - Vestaburg, Michigan
Fox's - Harrison, Michigan
Sharp's - Cadillac, Michigan
Brannam's - Lake City, Michigan
J&H - Lake City, Michigan

And probably a few others I can't recall at the moment.

Correction: Gene's Auto Parts in Cadillac, Michigan Good service, decent prices and availabilty.....nothing older than 10 years though.

The bugle sounds the charge begins. But on this battlefield no one wins.

There is one I go to in Danville, IL called Coultas Recycling. They let you go out in the yard for $1.00 and pull your own parts. The only old mopar they have out there is a 69 Dodge Dart. Their prices are dirt cheap too, they only charge $15.00 for a door and $25.00 for a hood or header panel.

Might have required 20 minutes of their "valuable" time and a couple moves back and forth with the forklift.

Magnumcharger

Reminds me of the 1979 Dodge Magnum GT I was going to buy, here's the "before" picture.
It had been in the yard for at least 10 years, little rust, and in what appeared to be perfect shape.
The old guy that owned the yard had a stroke, so his wife started crushing everything.
I went to talk to her about the Magnum. She said I could have it for $100 bucks!
Great!
I went back to get it...and they'd shoved it all around the yard with the front end loader. To make things worse, the loader had forks on it, which put incredibly big holes all over those formerly mint black panels! They even managed to wreck all of the flares! :flame:

Strangely enough...the car is still sitting there...and everything else is gone.
Maybe the crazy bitch is waiting for me to come back?
