Flu shot causes woman to walk backwards only

Has anyone gotten the swine flu shot yet? I heard that it has mercury in it and is unsafe There is a youtube video of a woman that got the regular flu shot and now she can only walk backwards

That is really sad that this happened to her.  You could say that she is one in a million type of girl though.

I've heard there are different types of vaccine of which some don't contain any toxic chemicals. The mercury-based vaccines are made that way so they'll have a longer shelf life but my understanding is that the single-dose vaccines don't contain the nasty preservatives. Doesn't really matter much yet anyway because only 1/3 of the people who want the vaccine can actually get it.

As for the video? A youtube video of an Inside Edition story is pretty suspect.

I don't know about this.  After some research on the web it seems questionable.  She is already "getting better."

I have to say as of right now there is no evidence that she got it from the flu shot.  It took ten days for the symptoms to come out, so what did she do for those ten days.  The story could have said she got Dystonia after taking a car ride.  Would everyone quit driving and riding in cars?  There is no real proof that this came from the flu shot, and there is no real proof that she even had Dystonia.  There is no MRI or test that can be ran to definitively say she even had Dystonia.  I am not going to say she is faking, but for her to be ok when she runs and walks backwards, but crippled to walk forwards is highly doubtful.  As I looked into this further there were several sources saying they thought it was psychological problem, not a medical one.  Her symptoms seem to back that.  This just seems to hokey for me to believe, sorry if that makes me an ass.  Just my opinion.

I never had a flu shot, no point in starting now. My Dad never got one either, but one year he decided he needed it for whatever reason. He got the shot, then shortly after he had the worst flu ever & was sick for 3 weeks.

  A recent canadian study found folks that recived flu shots were more likely to get the flu,.. the study is currently being recreated, i belive you can easily get the flu simply by visiting the hospital or clinic for a shot... that's been my experiance - just a vist to see sick non-contagious friends has more then once left me ill for days...

I only ever seem to get the flu when I get the shot.  It's my understanding that the vaccine actually includes the flu virus in an effort to prep your immune system for it.  For me it breaks down quite simply....Take the shot - get the flu....Don't take the shot - might not get the flu.  Guess which one I tend to choose...

I will never take flu shots again. I've done it twice in 20 years. First time, I got sick the very next day and was in bed for a week. Second time, I got the flu 3 days later and was in bed for a week. I am sick maybe 2 or 3 days a year if that much. No need to take a shot. Scary stuff if it is real. Course inside edition doesn't exactly shout thorough investigative reporting to me. I guess time will tell...

One more thing, I guess the untrusting guy in me just wonder about this whole swine flu deal. NO vaccine for me.

  they put the flu shot in the wrong arm, or in her butt or something.  has to  go in right arm, or it happens everytime, walking around backwards,  I hate that

   really, I haven't ever gotten a flu shot.  my friend did a couple weeks ago and he got the flu pretty bad the next day,
        just take basic care of yourself best bet.  don't get cold and wet too long, vitamin c if you feel down, whatever like that, get enough rest if you can,  getting run down and cold seems to let me get sick

I don't trust this swine flu shot either, I think I'll take my chances. Here in my town people were lined up like sheep or cattle waiting for the shot last  week and the supply ran out, what a joke.

"They" say the H1N1 vaccine does not actually contain the virus like the older vaccines but actually has a two-part chemical that combines inside the body to replicate a inert copy of the virus and prepare the body to fight it (my own paraphrase of what I read). This, to me, actually sounds worse than the virus itself. Some sort of nanotechnology IIRC.

It doesn't help when people at work cough without covering their mouth.   I work in an office and at least 7 or 8 people are coughing around me all day, just a matter of time before I get sick. Hopefully none of them have the swine flu
