Hey gang..
Couldn't resist posting the pics.. Sorry if I'm wearing out my Daytona... BUT, my best bud Scott took a very nice photo of Julie and I getting 'Tona situated for her trip back home with me... She came out to the base with Kim for our unit's military Family day which incorporated BBQ, bouncing-thingies for the kids, games, music and a little car show... She was having no part with going back home with mom in the Durango, it was, "I wanna go home with Daddy in the 'Tona".. Who am I to refuse such a request.  :icon_smile_big:

PS: Kim had no problem with it... She could listen to the radio instead of one of Julie's movies on the VES.. lol

Also, here's a Predator I'll be working on now that we're out of the F-16 business..........

So will you get any jets' or strictly Predators' & where'd your F-16's go?  Which military branch uses the F-35?

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Hey Mike...
As it sits now, we're the 147th Reconnaissance Wing, changing over from the 147th Fighter Wing. The Wing has been very active in both theaters of Iraq and Afghanistan.. I think senior leadership is still looking to get a manned aircraft of sorts at the base. I'm glad I got my F-16 flight before they left.  :icon_smile_big:

Personally, I'm going from big to small during my military career.. Started off with B-52's, loading everything from tons of GP bombs and nuc's, to F-16's and now, two little, yet VERY lethal, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles.

I believe the F-35 JSF is being/will be utilitized by the Air Force,Navy & Marines to compliment the F-22.

The F-35 is still in the development stage... none are deployed.  There will be three versions, and they will be in service with the Air Force, Marines, & Navy...  The F-22 serves with the Air Force & Air National Guard.

Hey Brock.. Congrad's on the sale of your '71........ That '69 R/T is my buddy Scott. He's in the one picture next to me in uniform. He's got a single plane 4bbl intake with, I believe, Demon carb on it...  Not much into the six pack hood scoops on a Charger, but when drove up with it a few years ago at a car show after putting it on, I was impressed.. Maybe it's the color and wheels, but it looks mean on his car........ And with the 4-speed,,,,,,,,,,, she's moves pretty darn nice...... :D

Looking Good Troy - Some I'll play with the MQ-1...   along with any other thing that flies and can drop shock and awe.     :METAL:

Now you have me contemplating taking my Charger out to Texas - I originally was planning on leaving her in CA...

Went over all the future plans for my enlistment with my former CCT friend - he is currently now going after his JTAC-I so by the time I get there as a ROMAD  :2thumbs:

Hey Troy, if you keep going to smaller aircraft maybe you'll eventually end up with these in your squadron?!   :smilielol:

Air Force Lingo -
CCT = Combat Controllers,
JTAC-I = Joint Tactical Air Controller Instructor,
ROMAD = Junior man on a TAC-P team =  Radio Operator Maintainer And Driver

When you sign for TAC-P (Tactical Air Control Party) you begin as a ROMAD and after two years you promote to a JTAC -

Honestly, I knew nothing of these things until about a year ago myself....    they are a relatively small group of people (I believe TAC-Ps number around 700 total - guard and active over the US) so not many people know about them. They are generally assigned to Army infantry units and are responsible for calling artillery, and close air support.

:2thumbs:

You probably have not heard of them because they only recently opened those positions at the 147th (last year)  by the last count I heard of it was merely two people there - - -  They still have 36 slots then need to fill in the coming years.     You might see them around the base in the future - they are issued Black Berets with a Green/red/blue crest....
