To my parents house in NJ  :smilielol:

having some work done to the house....new roof on the main house & a revamp of the garage.

Im adding 4 feet to the side of it.  Cutting out the wall, new slab, adding a 36" door, new roof, vinyl siding all around and a zip drain in front of the garage door to finally control water getting under the door when it rains heavily....
Cant wait to actually have space to work IN the garage without having to suck in my gut to get around the car ;)
Hopefully by next week Ill upload new pics

What have you got on YOUR garage floor in which it looks like squares of carpet for each tire to sit on when the car was in there?

My God what a "run-on" sentence that was. My language teacher would be so proud!  :D

Just 6T9 CHGR

Yeah basically its spill matting.....the cheapie Home Depot single stage floor paint peels from the hot tires.   Prolly gonna go with a real epoxy kit when its done in the spring

"...its spill matting..."
What do tires spill? Clearly, Ive missed something. lol

"...go with a real epoxy kit..."
Like the Rust Oleum kit that I started the other thread about?

Rolling_Thunder

I think he is saying he uses spill matting to absorb heat from the tires so it does not cause his floor to peel

I love that black vinyl top contrast to the paint and stripe.  :coolgleamA:

Also maybe if you lost the gut you wouldn't have to add 4 extra feet to the garage.    :nana:
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Yea I know, I've seen the You Tube video, that is one tight garage.  That'll be great when it's expanded.  :2thumbs:

Yeah I remember he really has a tight squeeze.  My Dad always had a "car" to restore.  Mustangs are his love though.   He did the paint & bodywork himself.  The pics make the car look much better than in person....not bad for a rookie though ;)

This floor matting looks sharp, but if its just tiles interlocked like puzzle pieces, then isent that a consern for spills leaking threw the joints and resting up under the tiles?
