Are so cool. I love seeing them, and how they were built.. My area is loaded with old churches, but this one really caught my attention today.. I'm not a religious person, so this wasn't intended to be a "religious" thread , just an admiration of an awesome creation.

How about one of the California Missions - San Juan Bautista? I took this picture a few weeks ago on my daughters field trip. Amazing to look at.

I am a few blocks away from one kinda like that. I'll have to try and snag a pic. You can hear the bells at certains times of the day and night.

WOW!!! That is a nice piece of architecture :yesnod: I always have liked the design and intricate details on older  buildings.

Here's one that was right next door to where I grew up.

Great parking lot for R/C cars, ball hockey, etc. and a good sized hill for smaller kids for tobogganing.

I grew up in an area with lots of Gothic Catholic Churches. I watched a couple of them burn and I was surprised how fragile they really are. The stone and marble is just a facade. Once the wooden inside is burned they collapse.

A few churches from the big town near my home.

make sure they don't ring the bells. a few weeks ago that one bishop got a misdemeanor for ringing his church bell.
