Looking for advise from anyone out there, is the 440 boat engine the same as the one for vehicles? does it have the same internals and distributor rotation

contact daytonalo.  he is a marine guy.  somewhat of a arrogant a$$ (understatement), but i think he knows more about this.

was it meant for the northern or southern hemisphere?  I'm pretty sure one spins opposite of the other   :scratchchin:
