Here's where I'm at now. I wasn't planning on putting a tarp on but I accidentley stepped on the body one night and broke the A-pillars & vent window channels (as seen in the pictures). So I decided to tarp that part up. Shame though because I'm covering up most of the interior :pity: The story behind this model is somebody got in a front end collision with it and decided to put a stock '69 nose on it. Somewhere along the road, someone took the wing off also. I will be including the nose and wing in the diorama. You can see the nose in progress in the background.... :2thumbs:

Tarp in progress....

Here's the tarp finished.....this marked the finish of the model itself. My attention has now turned to the diorama. It's in the garage drying right now (just glued down the gravel).

Looks good. That's pretty much how all of my models looked anyway.
I always made sure the parts had lots of glue. That made them burn faster when we set them on fire. And we did that a lot.

I put a little bit but this car is gonna be from California and under a carport (building that) so it wasn't really in harsh conditions :icon_smile_big: Most of my rotters are completley rusty so I decided to take a change on this one.

I wish I could of built a shed for it but I just don't have the time before the show tomorrow. Between being sick earlier in the week and the 4 hour power outage last night...I didn't have the time. Oh well...here she is....I'm calling her done for now :2thumbs:

TOTALLY AWESOME!!!  EVEN THE TARP LOOKS TOTALLY REAL!!

I love the mismatched concept with no wing, and no nose! There would be more actual reality going on for you if you removed that melted nose from behind the car! It's an unrealistic situation that takes away from your creation.

Being totally honest, if this was an actual left for dead, wrecked, and repaired Daytona with a Charger front end...do you think that nose would still be around? And even better yet, stashed near the car?   That nose would have been junked a long time ago when the Charger grille was grafted on.

I don't even like the way the nose turned out.  Its the weakest part of the scene, and detracts from this awesome diorama. Otherwise, I love it!  :2thumbs:
