Were does the J bolt go to hold down the battery?

  Yea..Yea I know it should be a no brainer but it looks like my tray was trimed on the side that goes against side panel. I see the hole for the side facing the engine but except for one small one in the bottom don't see were it could go. I looked on ebay and such and didn't see were it was latched onto or even a hole on the side I think is missing. So could someone post a picture of were the J bolts are anchored.

On the engine side, there is a hole in the side of the battery tray that is bent up. On the fender side, the hole for the J bolt is actually in the inner panel of the car. Sorry I don't have a pic. New computer and don't have my pics handy right now.

Actually, that big hole is covered by the battery tray. The hole for the J bolt is located on the vertical part of the inner panel.

I agree with tan top.  My tray has a corresponding hole and that is where the long j bolt goes to hold down the battery.  There are no other holes on the inner fender.

The j-bolt goes through a hole in the apron....You can see the hole in Tantops pic,right by the wires. The big hole down below is not for the J-bolt.

I agree with tan top.  My tray has a corresponding hole and that is where the long j bolt goes to hold down the battery.  There are no other holes on the inner fender.

If there are no holes as shown in my pic you need to make one.

Just put in a OEM batter holder and I agree with maxwell. My shorter j bolt was barely long enough and Im wondering if the dimensions on the new batteries as different.

You must be using a taller battery - but if you got it to work properly you are all good!

Mine looks like the picture as far the holes go, taken care of about 2 YEARS ago.
