We need more details. BB or SB? Matching #'s?  More pics please.

If it's a SB or missing the drivetrain I'd say do what you want.

if it were mine and a #'s car I would make it original just because its a weird combo.

It's not a huge deal for someone to change out the top so I'd be more tempted to go with a black top myself. I'd keep the interior the original color though.

+1 That's the route I'm going with my 69 Charger. The original top was dark green. I'm going with white. Everything else will go back to the stock colour combo: F8 with a white interior.

Troy

Cool! Another black 68 with a white top. Mine has a white interior though - I'm not sure I'd keep the green stuff. What are the rest of the specs?

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Thats a cool find for sure and a unusual color combo.  I always wonder what people were thinking when they order this stuff?   :silly:
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

Brock Samson

Yup, all of the above - I'm sure overall I'd want a 3xBlk too.. or maybe a red gut... but more pics and I wonder if you'd share what it set you back?...  :shruggy: and the circumstances of it's comming to light...  :popcrn:

Silver R/T

IMHO the original green interiors had to be the result of illicit drug use.  In my mind they represent an exception to any & all guidelines about preserving originality.

Man everyone dogs green interiors... I think I'm the only one who likes 'em. I know I will probably never have another 2nd gen, but I'd like to have a White 68 with green vinyl top and green interior (guy I know had a car like that).
Anyways good luck with your project, and looking foward to seeing your progress.

I don't even hate green on these cars, so much as I hate the particular shades of green that the factory picked in those days.

I used to have a mid-1990s Jeep Cherokee with a shade of dark metallic green that I liked so much more.  The shade was mostly green but it had a dash of deep blue thrown into it.  It didn't look so much like olive drab camo green.

Blown70

Nice I am guessing H, is getting in to mopars of his own now... SWEET..... :2thumbs:

The70RT

I bet they didn't make that many combo's. But yeah triple black would be the what most want.

id keep the odd combo. thats what im doing on mine. mines a 68 r/t, original black with green top/interior. not the greatest combo but sure is unusual
1968 Charger R/T, matching numbers 440/727, black with green top and interior, currently getting restored by me

So, any more pics of the car? What kind of shape is it in overall?

You're not the only one. Love green interiors, but then, green is my favourite colour, so maybe I'm biased.

With this car, tough call. I love them stock, but then, certain combos are just not cool IMHO, and I think that's the case with this one. Change it up to something cool and let the next owner 'restore' it in the future.  :Twocents:

Alaskan_TA

I LOVE the oddball color combination cars. IMO, if you change it, you will blend in with all the others. Keep it unique.

Put some stock 14" road wheels on to get rid of scubs..

XS29J

The car is unbeleivably clean, nice floors and trunk to. Going to look for Build sheet today, nothing in the back seat....

XS29J

It is a 383-2bbl column auto, PS, AM radio. Think we are going to just do the interior and vynil top and keep the original paint for now. Don't need to get into another resto that seems to never get done. I like looking/driving cars with original paint anyway, you don't have to worry about Dings/dents and scratches. The photo of the tail panal show a different color between taillights?  Is it supposed to be FLAT BLACK???
