E-Body Tie Rod Direction

Hi,I have a 1971 Dodge Challenger (E-body).Can anyone tell me which direction does the tie rods ends go?Does the tie rod that shortens in the clockwise direction go on the lower ball joint/spindle or to the drag link?Does it matter?I assume I must connect the idler & pitman arm and then adjust tie rod ends to fit.Any information on setting the front end up & basically aligning the wheels & steering box would be of GREAT help to me.Thank you experts!

The tie rod end with the right-hand thread goes to the outside on both sides of the car.
