400 Four Barrel Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner

Any reason a dual snorkel air cleaner assembly from a 1973 400 Magnum 4-barrel car won't fit a 1972 400 Magnum 4-barrel car? It looks identical - equal length snorkels and painted orange with 400 Four Barrel pie plate. Thanks.

Is the equal length snorkle correct for 1973? I am just curious because this original 1974 400 4bbl has the offset snorkle.

Not sure of the accuracy of the information, but have yet to be let down by http://www.nicksgarage.com/aircleaner.htm.
I use a print out from the site to help me ID motors when I'm out in yards. According to the site 72-73 400, four barrel air cleaner looks the same.

headrope, awesome sight!!  I always got confused when looking at air cleaners on the bag and such.

I know there is two kinds of air cleaners since 72... square and round and little bit longer snorkels, but they are completely interchangeable sice difference is just snorkels. I can't see any reason why doesn't fit.

Oh!!! also there are only one snorkels on some HP engines ( 440 ) with an air entry below the lower plate that is opened when carb vacuum acts to let it in more air. But anyway fits since circle size is the same.
