Went to a local car show today and met Chris and Bruce.

A few weeks ago they bought this 1968 RT and plan on begining its restoration shortly.
Sorry no VIN. I will let them post it if they choose.
Here is the fender tag and some pics.

Its a 440 Auto car with a 4 speed installed and a re-paint done some time ago.
Looks to be a solid car and mostly complete.

I told them they should register here and join our group.
Hopefully they will be alond soon.

They also own the GTX.

Sweet pics.

One question, by posting the fender tag arent you posting the vin as well? I though the full vin was on the tag?

ChgrSteve67

The fender tag has the order number not the vehicle build number

Hey Steve, have you thought about painting your trailer to match the car ?     :2thumbs:

Not on a 68.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Call me crazy, but I think it looks pretty cool as it is.  :coolgleamA:

Looks like an old military vehicle.

All purpose, no flash.

Cool Charger for sure.  :yesnod:

Dan

I have no way of getting in contact with them.
I'm hoping they register here so the right questions get asked of the right people.

Would be cool if they post pictures of the Charger restoration on this fourm.

Dans 68

Hmm, I wonder what "NOT Just 6T9 CHGR" wanted to add? Those Mods have great perks!  ;)

To answer my own question the air cleaner looks like one from a 2-bbl '69 383 (my guess) in that it has the crankcase hose plumbed from the housing, and not the snorkel like a '68. Now I wonder what carburetor is on that R/T. O.K., time to get out of the office and make some money....
