Who said cars don't have midlife crisis? The sad part is that it only takes one owner to ruin the entire life of a car, such a shame.  :rotz:

Why go through the trouble of making (errrr... attempting to make) a Coronet into a Charger? Wouldn't it be easier to sell the Coronet and just buy a Charger?????
I agree with Ponch.... the roofline looks more like a 1st gen instead of a 2nd.

On a more serious note, that car makes me think of the original idea for the Superbird.

When the Bird was being planned it was suggested that they just put the whole front clip of a 1970 Charger/Daytona onto the front ends of the Plymouths.  But then the argument was that the bodylines wouldn't work between the Charger fenders & the Plymouth doors.

I've always thought they should have just stamped a new doorskin to merge the Charger bodylines into the Plymouth doors, or just stamp a set of Charger fender skins without the bodylines on the side.  Anything rather than jump through all the hoops that were involved in creating the Superbird front ends.  The way they ultimately ended up doing it, they had to not only modify the Coronet fenders & hoods but also do all the aerodynamic research again for the new nosecone.
