Hello all,

I can buy a '70 440. But is this a 'good year' 440 I don't know what the differences between the years are.. Or does anyone know of a site where i can read this info? I am only talking about the bare block...

Chris.

This subject has been beaten to death, there are no good or bad years.

John's right, no good or particularily "bad".

Some might be better than others ?  depending upon what you want though ?

Might be some good reading for you about Blocks over here;

the only benefit of the earlier (pre -72) was that they generally carried forged cranks - better than the later cast cranks...
