Engine numbers....anyone help decode?

Anyone good with numbers? heres what i got, its a 440 HP as stamped in the top.  What i need help with is the numbers on the side of the block....they are as follows:

The right side-drivers side

8-1-69
25364430-7

The same number is stamped on the left side too...

Any help would be great, this is not the original motor.....thanks!

The date is the date the block was cast. There should also be some numbers stamped on the passenger side of the block, right above the oil pan. Those numbers will tell you more than the casting numbers...

RB stands for Raised Bblock, these use the 3 3/4" stroke crankshaft. The B block uses the 3 3/8" stroke crank.

RB's are 383, 413, 426 and 440.

B's are 350, 361, 383 and 400.

I wasn't aware of a 383 RB...  But correct...  The RB blocks have a higher deck height (hence the longer stroke) - this makes them a bit wider than the B blocks as well.

The 383 RB was used two years only, '59 and '60 in the Chrysler Saratoga.

August 69 would be for a 70 model. It probably says F 440 on the top pad and an assembly date like 3 15 (for example - March 18 which would be 1970 since it is after the casting date).
