Electric Fan Recommendations??

I'm finally getting around to finishing off the front of my engine (440), and have now discovered the factory clutch fan I was planning to use hits the power steering pump pulley nut.  :brickwall:
Can't space the fan out, not enough room & nor would I want to.

I'm now considering an electric fan setup. I've never used electric fans, so I don't really know much about them or how they work.

Can anyone on here recommend a good setup that will keep this engine running cool?? I'm looking at puller fans, ones that are mounted between the engine and radiator.

Thanks!!

And there wiring kit

Yes the kit is a little pricey and you can do the wiring yourself, but if your a little challenged like me it makes things SO simple and speeds up the process greatly.

Thanks, FLG.  :2thumbs:
But, that one won't work. I only have about 3-1/4" - 3-1/2" between the rad and the pulleys. I need something fairly low profile.
Ron suggested this one, but again I think it's too thick:

I found these at Summit also:

I'm going to call Griffin tomorrow (the brand of rad that's in the car), to see what they recommend as far as fan CFM size and go from there. I'm not crazy about the mounting setup on the Flex 180. The others I think I can mount to the radiator or the flanges on the side. A "pusher" fan won't work, I have an A/C condenser & a tranny cooler to contend with up front.

Any other suggestions??

Bill, the one i recommended will fit. The depth measurement is the thickest point of that assembly ; front of shroud to the back of the electric fan motor. With a dual fan setup the waterpump pully will fall between the two motors, where the shroud is thinest. Just a heads up  ;)

Yep!

If you want pics of my setup ill get some. There is alot of room between the fans.

I used dual 14 inch permacools offst high/low on a 31x20 rad.

Fans draw 2900 cfm each at 98 amps each.

Works well.

Flyinlow....there prob 98 amps on startup...but not constantly.

Same thing for the duals i have, BIG amp draw on startup but much less when there moving.
