I had a 73  Pontiac Grand Am as a first car. It was a two door and I thought it was pretty cool.

But if you looked at one with 4 doors it was really ugly.

That is what this thread is about, Cars that were decent as 2 doors but butt ugly as four doors.         :popcrn:

Haters.  :pity:

For mine at least, the two door versions were just as ugly. So ugly in fact, that it is pretty dang cool.   ;D

I love it.

Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

I don't like any four doors either. I have been eyeballing a 67 fury four door. I was thinking maybe a cop car but that's all I would ever do with one. I have a 65 lemans now and it is just a shed.

One of my wrenching buddies (Huge Pontiac & Buick fan) bought himself a '74 Grand Am back in the Spring. That was the first I had ever heard of one.

Oh, and I agree totally, the 2 door versions do look way better.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Been there done that. I put a 350 Rocket 315 horse engine in one and the wife drove it. That engine out lasted many a body till I sold it after the last car it was in was hit from behind. It was just as ugly as the 4 door Darts and Valiant's....but faster.

4 door darts. I saw one yesterday. It was a peace of crap, with a nice fiberglass 6 pack hood.  :slap:

I wouldn't mind having that in my driveway, 4-doors with lots of engine and four on the floor really do it for me. I blame Burt Reynolds and a certain moonshiner flick  :D

Man, that looks so much like my old car (of course, mine was an 'aussie' valiant).

The Burt-mobile from White Lightning wasn't the only fullsize 4dr movie car with a stick shifted tranny to haul liquor at 100mph.

The Hag boys were doing it with a 1970 Plymouth Fury III a few years before they were re-envisioned as the Duke boys.
