Took my TQapart for rebuild and when I took center plastic bowl up, noticed, bottom plate full of gas, that tells me bowl leaking somewhere, looked for cracks and maybe warpage, seen nothing, do you think that the wells where they are glued together are leaking ? If so , what is my best repair approach?

T-Quads are famous for bowl warpage, cracks, & general leaking...I would put a new Edelbrock Carter on it....but that's just me

check for EPOXY glue conditions. That's the first area where the gas leaks, through the epoxy glue around the wells.

what I commonly make is break the old epoxy glue and and glue that section back with totally new epoxy glue. Is a process something dangerous because you can break the bowl area where the epoxy is ( don't ask me how I know that )... begin scratching/removing first the excess to get it weak before break.

Some ppl preffer simply remove the excess of glue around wells and fill again that area without remove the wells. Myself preffer a complete new job there.

Bought some LOCTITE Stik'N'Seal Oil And Gas, solvent resistant adhesive, bonds rubber, plastic, weatherstripping, carpeting, and metal to porous surfaces. took plastic pieces off of bottom of TQ Bowl cleaned bowl and Pieces, says to put adhesive on both pieces to be assembled, let set any where from 10 to 20 minutes, then stick together. Bonds immediatley, pieces cannot be repositioned. did this..Resists oil, gas, etc. we'll see if this stuff seals that TQ Bowl, high strength in 30 minutes, full strength in 24 hrs. will reassembly carb in 24 hrs.   Now I know seals  go in the bottom of wells, however kit has two rubbers and two corks, which ones should i use?

I hope that you have better luck sealing the transfer wells than what I've had in the past.  I found a few NOS bowls through a few different places online, but they too started leaking in only a few months.  So, I removed the transfer wells and used JB Weld to reattach because it is supposed to resist gasoline.  I could only get these repairs to last maybe six months, if I was lucky.  After a lot of searching online, I came up with a phone number for a carb rebuild company somewhere on the west coast, I believe.  I honestly don't remember where it was.  Anyhow, I asked him what they did to repair the TQ bowls and why JB Weld wasn't working.  He told me that most epoxies like JB Weld WILL stand up to gasoline - it is the ETHANOL in the gasoline that the epoxies don't like.  He said ethanol levels can be higher in different parts of the country than in others.  He told me that he had the best luck with a product called 'Marine Tex' - available through most marine supply outlets.  He said that there still was no guarantee that this stuff would work.  Well, I bought some and while it did out last the JB Weld, it still failed after about 11 - 12 months.  After that, I gave up on TQs and switched to Holleys.

Thanks for the infor so far mine has been doing good, we see what happens in the future, I really like the TQ. Temperamental, but if you get it right you got a good carb.
