:RantExplode: I've been digging and digging and everytime I think I find the answers to tire sizes and rim sizes I find another thread with people running in to rubbing there tires.  :brickwall:

Anyway, I found a nice pair of rims with tires and was wondering if they will fit on my stock 1968 Charger. Here are the specs:

All rims are Centerlines

Front:
Size: M+S 215/70R15 98S 7" width with 3 1/2" back spacing

Rear:
Size: M+S 295/50R15 108S 10" width with 5" back spacing

Will this combo work?

Will this combo look off due to the difference in backspacing of the front and the rear?

Thanks for answering yet another rim tire question,

-Anthony

Your 295's should work. My 12" on 10" rims with 5,5" bs are fairly close to the leaf springs though...

295's with 5" BS works on my RT.  Just ordered with 5.5" BS for the one I'm doing now, moving a little closer to the springs.

:2thumbs: Excellent!, I don't know if my car will work because I have standard suspension but hearing it works on an R/T is a step in the right direction.

Can you post some pics from the side and back, I want to see how it looks on your car.

gone for the weekend, but I'll try on Sunday night.

I'm feeling much better about the rears but now I am concerned about the  front tires. I can't find a single thread that even talks about 3 1/2 back spacing on front rims.  :rotz:

Anybody have info about front tires BS?

I run 8" rims with 4,5 BS  and 235/70-15 in the front. Pretty large combo but works great. Your 215's on a 7" rim and 3,5 BS should work.

Thanks for your help guys. I think I'm just going to go with new rims and get the sizes I want instead of compromising. I think I'm going to go for the AR Outlaw I's they are half the price of Auto Drag III's and have very few noticeable differences.

four pictures.

last two pictures.  Here are 15x10 Magnum 500's with a 5" backspacing and 295/50/15 BFG's.

There's a bunch of room under the front so you can have some pretty crazy bs going on without any rubbing. Your bs on the 7" fronts is split right down the middle so it'll be fine, especially with 215 tires (which in my opinion are way too narrow).

:iagree: Curtis, you are right on with this, 215's are way to small for the front on a charger.
