Black wheels with chrome trim ring for a 2nd gen-Recommendations????

I've looked through a ton of sites, magazines...and not finding quite the right look. I've looked through all the posts here and I've not seen many pics at all, besides the 70 petrol charger, the 72 pro touring that's almost done and kws' 72. I'm looking for modern black wheels.

First, this is a stupid question-will I be able to do it with drum brakes?

Second, I'm going for 17 front, 18 back. Will I need to do any custom stuff for the wheel wells or anything? I've read that you only have to do it if you go 19 or higher but I'm just making sure. Will there be enough clearance space???

So far, I like the torq thrust/coy/bullett black wheels, common and cheap but they really don't look bad at all. Then I've also seen the Centerline Retros and if I got those, then I'd likely keep them chrome.

Anyway, any help is appreciated, links, pics, are totally welcome.

I've been looking for new wheels too.  Not sure if I'm going with 17-18" Magnum 500's or some 18" chrome 5 spokes.  I still need some time I guess.

As for size and clearance, in regards to height, your springs can make a big difference here.  If they're pretty stout than 18" shouldn't be a problem.  Tire diameter will be the ultimate determining factor as well as your tire offset.  You should be running a 4.5-5" offset to keep from rubbing on the outside but you should also be mindful of the inside, depending on how wide a wheel and tire you go with.

I did a quick search on here and can't find the thread with the wheel fitment link on it.  Someone created one for Gen II Chargers.  That will help you a bunch.  I have it bookmarked at home.  I will try to find it and send the link to you.

As for looking around for wheels, Bull has just secured a discount deal from a manufacturer for all DodgeCharger.com members.  They're mostly classic wheels however.  Here's that thread:  http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,62609.msg698530.html#msg698530

I'm going to keep looking around, I'll let you know if I find something.  If you find some 18" Magnum 500's keep me in mind and let me know where you saw them.  I'm still on the fence between them and new age wheels.   :scratchchin:

Take care...
