14,000 miles, Vitamin C, 440 Six Bbl, 4 speed, white bucket interior.  Owner bought it in 1973 (with only 11,000 miles) from a friend of my that got me hooked on winged cars.  I purchased my first 'Bird in '74.

It's an Arizona car since new.   Bruce (lerical) has know this car for EVER..   The nose was damage pretty early in the 70's.  I have this car on file since 75 and the seals were that way then too.    Very well kept car.

The one shot I didn't post is of the jack in the trunk; there is no California evap emmissions tube back there.  My friend, who owned it before the current owner (Paul [?] Colletti), had painted the hood flat black, along with the original plain steel 15" wheels.  Mr. Colletti repainted the hood, but someone stole the front tires and wheels off the car as it sat in storage.  He replaced the plain steels and dog dishes with Rallye wheels.  (he says he'd like to find 2 correct wheels for the car, he has all the hub caps.)  Car just turned 14,000 miles this year.  3000 miles in 36 years.  He has far more control than I!

Here's a question:  this SuperBird and my first 'bird (161569) both have/had exhaust cut-outs with bolt on caps right at the H in the H-pipe.  My 'bird had headers and glass packs when I bought it in 74, so I assumed the previous owner did it.  But the set up on this 'bird looked identical (cover plates/caps had the same finned look.)  Was there a common, aftermarket weld on cut out being used in the early 70's? (you know, something straight outta JC Whitney, etc.?)
