I have an Excel sheet that has all of my parts broken down into different sections and also has them listed as Purchases # 3 - 8 (1 & 2 were purchased this past summer).

My Wife has a copy of the list (yeah, she hit the roof when she saw the total around $7,000.00 CDN) but said she would suggest it to different family members.

Purchase # 3 has already taken place, I know that thanks to the dopes at YO.  Although the products were shipped to the In-Laws, they sent the invoice to my office.  A good score as # 3 was worth over $700.00 CDN.  Now, if I can get someone to get Purchase # 4 for me, I could put another $600.00 CDN towards something else.

Besides that I'd like to be able to pay off my film supplier in New Zealand so I can start buying more Charger parts again.

I need seat buns for the GTX,
I need someone to teach me to use my damn mig welder well,
and I need a stroker crank, rods, pistons and a good solid cam for the Charger engine.

Lastly I need to be able to afford to go to Mopars at the Strip in March!

A little spending cash while I'm there would be nice too  ;D ;D

I'd like my Charger done, please.

Realistically, though, I've got a couple of DVDs on my list and a few tools.

Rush R-30 Deluxe DVD package
Office Space Special Edition DVD

I saw these tools in the latest Canadian Tire flyer.
a hardware sorting & storage box for screws and bolts and stuff like that
a funky cuts-everything hack saw

I'd like to upgrade the home theatre amp, but I'd have to pick that out myself.

That's a great idea Shakey! The only thing I see myself getting stuck on is basically going through all the catalogs and brochures, magazines, etc, trying to find the best price/deal for the parts. Example lets say "weather stripping". I know there is several sources, but it will take time to figure out who has the best deal. You have to take into account which includes delivery, any discounts, and pricing. My wife said she would get me parts that I want (not too many - $ limit), but I have to tell her exactly where to get them. How do you find time to do this shopping around for the great deal on top of work and other Christmas commitments?

First off, no.  Secondly, they don't repop the Mod Top material.  All they have is what's leftover, and they won't sell that to anyone unless they prove they own an original Mod Top car.  Mine isn't even an original vinyl top car.

You have to take into account which includes delivery, any discounts, and pricing. My wife said she would get me parts that I want (not too many - $ limit), but I have to tell her exactly where to get them. How do you find time to do this shopping around for the great deal on top of work and other Christmas commitments?

Over the past few months, I have spent countless hours "shopping" through catalouges and web sites and usually find a measly $10.00 -$20.00 difference.  I have realized that Year One has "almost" everything I need and if I can locate a 20% discount code, it works out pretty reasonably.  Sure shipping can be pricey (consider yourself lucky as you don't have to pay 7% on every dollar coming over the border) but it is one stop shopping and the products are, well the same as you will get elsewhere.

I find the most managable way is to break the overall project into smaller projects.  That way, you can deal with smaller lists and plan each job accordingly.  You should know this as you are well versed in project managment!  One project overlaps into another.

I simply gave my Wife the list of exactly what she needed to buy (part #, decription, price) as well as the discount code.  Sure that takes the surprise out of it, but who cares.  Her folks and my folks are always wondering what to get me, for the first time in years I have a Christmas list.

Sometimes, the amount of time you spend shopping around for the best deal, ends up costing you more in your valuable time.

Well my wish list this year for Christmas is like any other year. Very short, only 2 items on the list.

1) 1969 Dodge Daytona, 4 speed. (prefer a HEMI, but a 440 is fine, and only in these colors, B5, Q5, A4, or X9. Might consider R4 if it has white interior, and a white stripe)
2) 1969 HEMI Charger 500 (only if it is a 4 speed, prefer with power windows and cloth insert seats as well)

71Charger500

Aluminum heads.  Of couse, they are expensive, but we could trade in the cast iron ones which are brand new for a lot of the cost.

Nah, I'm not going extreme. I still want my creature comforts. I have too many hobbies and too much junk that I never use and really don't need. I'm keeping the good stuff. I like my toys. I just have so much stuff that there's no way I can fully enjoy everything. By simplifying I can spend more time on what I really love most.
Back to the subject of Christmas. I find it amazing that almost no references to Christmas are made on television or print these days. Even the stores have mostly eliminated it. It's a shame. I sure most of you all have noticed it too.

Where did you locate the NOS side markers?   I have a set from The Paddock which cost me $80.00 USD.   How much are the NOS?

BTW, this doesn't seem like a tall order hopefully it will work out!

Shakey- I can see a long, slender wrapped present standing up against the wall, behind the tree.  It's about the size of oh, say maybe a GRAY PLAID TRUNK MAT!!!  I'm pretty sure that the side markers (if I did get them) came from Charger Specialties, though I can't be certain.

UPDATED WISH LIST:

I'd like my knee to get better
I want the Dana 60 with detroit locker and 4:10's that I have on hold but can't afford yet.
Still want the stroker crank but I'll back off on asking for rods and pistons right now.
I'd like a set of seat buns for the GTX so I can finish the new interior in it.
I need to pay my supplier for the new Batman Begins and the Twister film I ordered already so Santa could help me with that.
Also need to pay for the large reels to put the film on and can't afford right now.
My Tron machine died so I need a set of Tron pcb's so I can play Tron!

Oh, and I'd really like the new season two of Miami Vice on DVD coming out Dec 12th!!

If I can't have any of those then I'd just like a WARM GREEN CHRISTMAS!!!!

LMAO yeah I never saw the point in it. Wasn't the point to do as many as possible in the shortest amount of time? Not only one in the longest amount of time?

you have a lot to learn, indeed. have you heard the one about the old bull and the young bull?

The two were standing on a mound on the pasture looking at the cows roaming the range down the hill. The young bull says to the old bull..."listen...what do you say we run down there and f**k us one of them cows?" The old bull looks at him and says "no...how about we walk down there and f**k all of them?"
