Jay Leno showed up real late. My pictures say 3:35pm. He's done that a couple times at Fall Fling. Once with the turbine motorcycle and once with the McLaren F1. Hey, he's a busy guy. I'm surprised he's able to show up nearly every show.

Original owner 70 R/T. He also worked at the L.A. assembly plant from 66 until it closed in 71. He's got some stories. He worked in almost every department. He wished they made Chargers a the L.A. plant, he would have loaded it up  He said that was common practice if someone else in the plant bought a car they were making. On top the big build sheet it would say "employee car". Final inspection would ignore the "added" touches.

The owner of Milodon is a Mopar guy. Here's the car he built for himself...

So far Paul's is the only 99 99 Omaha Orange example I know of so far.....V2 Hemi Orange was a spring color for '69.

You're right. That R4 throws you for a loop.

I'd suspect if there were more they were more likely to be sold in California since they started that color/deal out here. I took that picture to show PocketThunder. But I should have got close and took a fender tag pic. I just get pulled off what I'm doing so much. Still took 300+ pics.

Doug with the 68 RR 383 4spd omaha orange bought his off the lot in Glendale. That's the one that's been in the magazines lately. He's from So Cal and has been to the show and cruise in around here. Another club member's brother bought a new omaha orange 68 340-S Barracuda. Sold it about 5-8 years ago.

Have you talked to Sean Machado about omaha orange 68-69 Chargers? He's on this board. Forgot his username. Him and his dad have been following this stuff since new around here and maybe have seen other ones. I wouldn't be surprise if they knew something about the one PocketThunder just bought. They live out that way.

Looking for  good original hoses? That wasn't on my radar at all. Not real common piece to sell as most would just have non original looking hoses made up. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some out there.

I usually try walk down each swap row and take a picture of each swap spot. Just couldn't get that to happen.

Yeah his name was Paul, 6500 for car plus all the parts, and 500 for just the parts (all of them). Ive got his number somewhere. He said he lost his storage and was looking to move all his stuff that weekend. Got one of my ac vents from him. And the 66 did have the interior in it, really nice project. :Twocents:
