Beauty Eh!

I like both stripe colors - tough choice. My '70 is Plum Crazy with a white longitudinal  :2thumbs:

Magnumcharger

My old '70 was purple....but originally F8 with a white longitudinal stripe.
Perhaps after I pay this one off, I'll buy it back!

Why that's just plumb bloated looking.

Ok.... Personal opinion aside, I'm glad your happy and doing your part to keep Fiat in the black and American workers off the unemployment line.

Magnum, my wife wants to know when you're delivering her car to her.

Seriously though, she went back to work and is saving up for one. She's going to have to sell a heck of a lot of fancy clothes, though.

I am waiting for the Citron Yellow, or maybe Petty Blue.  Have you seen the new Mustang Color of "Grabber Blue" I love it.

There's a "Grabber" blue Mustang GT on the Ford lot, about 10 minutes walk from my apartment here in Halifax. I think it must be one of the first ones made for 2010, and has been sitting there unsold for several months.
I gotta say I like the color, but the styling of the 2010's is lacking....compared to the 2009's, which I really liked.

Now - the Shelby Mustangs, there's a nice car.

Well, I was down to my local Dodge store today, hoping that I'd be able to put the big order in.
I talked to the Fleet Manager about a few points on the order that I needed just a bit more information on before I sign anything.

Firstly, I wanted the "Super track pak" option, which is listed online, but not definitive on the axle ratio.
"Super Track Pak includes Heavy Duty performance brakes, performance steering with variable displacement, load-levelling and height control rear suspension, 245/45 ZR20 Z-rated performance tires"

I want the 3:92 gearset, verses the 3:71 which is the standard R/T w/six speed offering. He's going to look into this and have an answer for me on monday.

Secondly, I read online that the supplier of the bucket seats - Katzkin - can actually outfit a new Challenger with whatever configuration of seats you'd like.
Therefore, I'd like to have a white bucket seat interior combination. The Manager said that's do-able, so I may end up with the white stripes and interior I want!

Now...if I can get the employee/friend discount, I'll be all set!

Well...here we go....
I decided not to buy.
Yup...weasing out of it. And even after being given the "Friends" discount by a head honcho at Chrysler LLC (Sorry Mike!), I just cannot see spending approximately $800/month for 84 months on a "toy"....especially given that: I'm retiring from the military in two years and starting another career, my house needs work, I've got FOUR project vehicles in various states of disassembly, and my daughter is starting university next fall.

Honestly, I really don't know what I was thinking.

Too Bad man - I bought mine in the US and saved 10k over what my business partner payed locally - That's net including the extra freight etc.

On the upside (isn't there always one?)....now I can go ahead and order that AMD sheetmetal I wanted to get for my Charger R/T. ;)
Two quarter panels, a trunk floor and outer wheelhouses, to replace the previous taiwanese crap I put on years ago.
The money equivalent for the taxes on the Challenger purchase ($6000) will now go to buy all this metal AND a complete Legendary interior!
This is moola I worked o/t for at a steam generating plant last summer, so not out of the household budget.

So next summer....if all goes well....I'll be posting on the installation of all of that.

Awesome plan!  Why would you even want a new Challenger if you have a Charger anyways?  With all the money it would take to pay for that you could have your Charger ANY WAY you wanted it and could possibly even pay to do it over again a couple more times if you wanted to change it  I'll be waiting for your build pictures
