Anyone going to be passing thru Amarillo on their way to or from MATS?  We were going to try and set something up at Texas Dodge, right off of I40, to welcome those passing thru, check out your Mopars, and let you see a few before you make it to Vegas.

Well, I'm one more step closer to being entirely committed to going...my MATS entry confirmation came in the mail today.  :boogie:  I really cannot wait to renew past acquaintances and make new ones, all while watching a whole bunch of Mopars go fast and look great, and with literally tons of parts, new and old, scattered around. Whats not to look forward to?

...and the '68 should be almost ready to go this weekend.... :coolgleamA:

By the way, I ask who's staying on the Strip because we're trying to figure out costs of cab fares to and from the track compared to staying near the track and cab fares to the Strip. My dad's girlfriend might be going but I'm not sure if she'll go to the show all 3 days. I was hoping to maybe hitch a ride with one of the members a couple of times if possible (I'll chip in for gas if needed)

Im staying at the Monte Carlo. I wouldn't mind if you hitched a ride, but I'm only going to the show on Saturday and don't really know what time I'm going or leaving...you'd be at my mercy at that point. Have you looked into renting a car? If you're gonna be going back and forth to the the track from the Strip a couple of times, it might be a wash (if not better) cost wise.

Anybody who is entering their car.......when are you going to the show? It says gates open at 6am. Is anybody here actually going to go that early?

The gates open up for cars (us) at 7:00 am. The 6:00 am time is for the Manufacturer Midway and Swap Meet people. I think 8:00 am is early enough unless you want to get there early and peruse the swap meet and try to score a few bargains. VegasMike scored a dominator intake for a great price early Friday last year as I recollect.

Is there a model building or showing contest there?

I didn't see one last year. Just the car show, auction, new car parts, swap meet, pre-owned cars for sale, autocross exhibit and drag racing. Food and restrooms also.  :icon_smile_wink:

How about this one following CB and vegasmike last year? Dang, I just realized that CB is carrying Mike's newly acquired intake manifold. I wonder.... :scratchchin:   :slap:

Cody, it depends upon where you will be staying. If by us of course we'll give you a lift. Let all of us know where and we'll arrange something.

Me and my stepmom will be staying on the Strip. However we can cab it to your hotel before you guys leave. Does anybody know if I can purchase our passes as we enter the gates?
