Of course it depends on the build but some of the FAST guys are running low 10's through HP manifolds and exhaust. Make no mistake ; the manifolds are a cork and do limit horsepower. You need to be careful with cam selection....wide lobed profiles that reduce overlap and reversion seem to work much better with restrictive exhaust systems.

The difference with manifolds versus real headers is little or nothing when you're cruising around at 2000 rpm.

But once you pass 3500 the difference starts rearing its head more and more.  It might be a 30+ hp difference by the time you're up at 5500-6000 rpm.

I ran 13.049 @ 107mph with my 446 in Sept 2008 at Monster Mopar with stock HP manifolds and 3" TTI exhaust and Dynomax mufflers with 3:23 gears and a 727.  Picked up 2 mph and nearly .5 with the install of TTI headers.  :2thumbs:
Best time 11.07@121

The stroker I have ran a 11.43 with HP manifolds through 3 inch exhaust. 4100 lb 69 with auto and 3800 stall with 3:23 gears. When changed to headers it picked up a half second in the 1/8.

477 with 509 DC cam, old school stroker build
