all it takes is one guy that wants an original piece and he gets his price. How often do you see them come up for sale.
wingless now, but still around.

FJMG

I've never seen an original for sale but if you compare the repops at $1,000.00 and up maybe it is priced accordingly?

I'm so glad my Daytona's complete.......... Then again, I wouldn't have traded my former '68 and '69 for it if it wasn't...

I need one for my Daytona, as well as headlight buckets... but I guess that I am just too cheap!  :P

I paid $5,000 for a NOS Daytona nose cone last Spring... at least that is in hand now.

Great picture Geno.. I just noticed something.. There's a seal as well down at the bottom back middle of the lower valance by the lower rad. core support. This isn't part of the seal that goes from the valance to the k-member?

Cheers,
Troy

Troy,

No, that's a separate piece - easily torn if you fiddle around much with fitment of the nosecone/fenders/valance since it attaches both to the yoke and to the lower valance.  The K-member seal goes from the backside of the yoke (underneath the radiator, IIRC) to the K-frame/member.

Thanks Geno... I'll see if it's in the kit I got from Mike.. If not, I'll make one...............

Troy,

I have an extra repro seal (probably one of the prototypes that David Patik and I were working with) that I can get to you if you can wait a bit.  Won't have the opportunity to stop by Vance's prior to Talladega, but eventually I can get it for you.  Those need to be somewhat stiff to keep them from sagging down and looking pretty crappy IMHO.
