What is little red specific besides the stacks and decals?

What about warlocks and midnightexpress?

(thinking about a clone)

The LRT really only had 3-4 options they all had E58 police 360s , auto trans , 2 wd , Red paint , 15x8" wheels, oak side boards & box floor  , the only options I remember were A/C , Cruise , 391 gears , most were 3.55 sure grip , sliding rear window, some had a bench seat most had a 40/20/40 bucket seat with a center tool box , radio with a Cb, possibly a red interior , most have blk
the Warlocks were far better in My opinion , 3 colors , Blk Green or Burgundy virtually any option was available , 318 -440 , std or auto trans , 2w or 4wd [ I had a blk 360 4 spd 4x4]
don`t know much about the Midnite Ex , I think they all had the 440 , I know they are rare

There was a Warlock clone at the Nats last summer that was very well done, but are they that rare and expensive that you have to clone one?  Aren't there still some deals to be had with these things?

moparsons

Well, the thing is... I just scored an awesome deal on a regular 79 power wagon, stepside, wood bed, 2wd 318 auto.
It's in killer shape and my older brother let me have it for $500. I was just kickin around ideas on what to do with it. I might not do a clone and just throw some stacks and cool lookin wheels on it and leave it at that.

In addition, the '78's had 15x7's in front and 15x8's in rear... In '79, they had 15x8's all the way around.....

I have a 78 Little Red Truck,The package was the Dodge Adventurer D 150 1/2 two wheel drive stepside pickup truck, that included, the E 58 police engine, but it also had a 68 spec 340 camshaft, double roller timing chain, and an 800 cfm fireball thermoquad carburator. The engine had the chrome dress up package(chrome valve covers, and air cleaner lid)and a ram air dual snorkel air cleaner, that was force fed from two ports behind the grille, connected to the snorkles by flexible hoses. The trans was a 727 loadflight(aka small block hemi torque flight)and the rear axle was a 9 1/4 3.55 limited slip, with an optional 3.91.The 78 LRT had no emmision controls,or cataletic converters. They were only available in bright canyon red,and they came with oak boards on the sides of the bed,and the tailgate. They had gold decals on the doors, and tailgate, that read Little Red Express truck, and gold double pinstripes over all four wheelwells. The exhaust system featured an equalizer pipe, dual mufflers, going into two semi truck type exhaust stacks. They also had chrome plates side steps on the side of the bed that the stacks sat on.the package included 5 slot chrome wheels,15x7 with 245 60 15 Goodyear polyglass radial GT tires in the front, and 15x8 inch wheels, with 275 60 15 tires on the rear. There were two interior colors available red or black, and there was a standard interior(standard bench seat)or the deluxe interior(bucket seats, with center console).2118 78 versions were built.A/c was also an option. In 1979,things changed for the LRT,The engine was now just the E 58 police engine, with no special cam,or carb, and it now had full emission controls, including an air pump, and dual cats. The 78 LRT slipped through an  EPA loophole, because of its gross vehicle weight. The EPA changed the rule for 79,and the LRT had to pass the same emission standards as all 1979 vehicles. The 79 model was given a new grille, with stacked square quad headlights,as well as a new hood, without the sideways Charger like hood impressions. The wheels were now 15x8 on all four corners.Just over 5000 1979 LRTs were built!

i have a friend that has a warlock.  needs fenders, but has the stepside bed and the wood inlays.  it is a 318 truck.  thought about getting it, but I dont want to spend money on a truck that would be better spent on my cars.
