How much do you think I would gain going from a stock stroke 440 to a 493 storker (with bigger cam) compared the following combo:

440 30 over
Edelbrock heads (85cc)
10 to 1 CR
CH4B intake (air grabber)
Holley 850 DP
Lunati voodoo 268 (226/234 at .050 .493/.513) 110 LSA
HP exhaust manifolds (I know headers would be better) and 3 inch exhaust

Anyone running stock manifolds on a BB stroker? Mancini has a nice deal on a kit $1450.

thanks,

Steve

Why not headers?

Any engine with restrictive exhaust can benefit from a cam with more exhaust timing. Turbo and Supercharger cams have the same requirements-I'm sure one of the dyno guys can add more specific detail here.
It seems to me that the cost of building the bigger motor is excessive without the cheap relief of good exhaust.
