Well the "moon bombing" was a dud to watch...not even a puff!

tricky lugnuts

And I heard they didn't even find the water they were hoping would be there.  :'(

histoy

The noon news reported that the rocket only penetrated 13 feet into the surface.  I wouldn't expect that we'd see much water at that shallow depth.

Considering that NASA says it will take about 2 weeks to analyze the data, it is a little soon to jump to conclusions.

Well, I think the point is we're comparing NASA's expectations to what actually happened. My guess is they were trying to send the probe a little deeper.

Whats that movie  :shruggy: Time Machine? The key character gets stuck in his time machine, knocked out and ends up waaay into the future. Part of that movie's story line, plot involved our elected officials doing something crazy with the moon, like BOMBING IT and screwing up its orbit and ending life as we know it on Earth.  NOW they say THIS bomb didn't penetrate the surface deep enough to get the readings they had hoped for. So I guess we'll be BOMBING the moon again....yup, great.  :brickwall:

yeah exactly, life is on this planet due to the perfect angle of the earth to the sun and the moons gravitational orbit, soooooooo, with the earth standing up straighter and straighter as we get closer to 12-21-12................. they want to start messing with the moon

anyway, when the astronuats "supposedly" were on the moon, their boots kicked up dust, and now a BOMB didn't even make a dust devil ????? yeah ok
