"LIMA, Peru - A traveling exhibition of human cadavers wants a stolen lung back.

The left lung was taken in Peru from "Bodies: The Exhibition," which has traveled the globe displaying cadavers preserved through a process that replaces water in biological tissues with polymers.

The organ disappeared from an area where visitors can touch preserved cadavers." :P

"A $2,000 reward — no questions asked — was offered Tuesday for the return of the lung. It has no commercial value but will be costly to replace, Hoefken said. "

lol...it was probably stolen by a smoker.

FWIW - I've gone to both BodyWorks and Bodies, and its some cool shit. Just don't eat lunch before going.

And you probably don't want to eat much after going either.

Hell the theft was probably committed by the family of the poor Chinese guy who had his body snatched for the exhibit in the first place!!!

Yea, it's done under the guise of education but IMO it's a freak show for profit. Regardless, how on earth did someone manage to walk out with a lung? When the exhibit was in Portland it was elbow to elbow in there every minute it was open and I imagine it was the same most places it went. So my guess is it was an employee of the facility where the exhibition was that stole it.

I'd have to say that exhibit is actually pretty damn cool. Went to it down in Florida and was amazed at some of the stuff they did with the bodies. On the other hand my sister wasn't too impressed when I took my niece and nephew to it lol.
