those tail lights are pretty nice. some people just don't know how to do business. yea he's a good seller but with anything a demonstration seals the deal. i can only imagine how many sales he let slip because of not having a demonstration. anyone else do the light upgrade that norway charger did or have a demo of his lite up? i'd really like to see how his looks compaired to the ones in ebay ad.

Norways use @200 led bulbs.  Mine use 25.  His look more natural, like a bulb on steroids.  light fills the entire lense.  with mine, they look a bit more bling where you can see the individual bulbs.  for someone concerned with looking stock, the ones norway used would fit the bill a lot better albeit with double the pricetag (I think they are 300)
I'm no expert, but i'd say that norways use smaller led's and more of them.  Mine are almost too bright and if his has 8x the amount of the same exact led's, you could get a sunburn off of it.  Here is a pic of his.  Notice how they look just like the pics I posted of my old bulbs on the drivers side...just much much brighter.  also, his appear to focus the light all in the center of the lens where mine have some in the center and some on the outside edge.  clearly his cost more because there are more led's.

Just an update...

from what I read before putting these bulbs in, I knew I would need a new LED flasher.  since I still have the fronts as standard 1157 bulbs for now and the hood turn signals, my old flasher was still working...but slow.

I bought an LED flasher and installed it and it made a really big difference. signals start flashing immediately and at the rate of a new car.

I wanted to pass along some info though. When I plugged my new fancy-pants flasher in, I got nothing!  nothing lit up or flashed at all.  I noticed my new flasher had a wire hanging off of it too.  I grounded that and still got nothing.

since the packaging didn't come with any instructions, I contacted the vendor (same company and vendor who made these tailights) and he told me something interesting:  he said that on a lot of old cars this happens and that the wires need to be swapped on the flasher harness.  I didn't want to cut up the wiring, so I made jumpers out of some spade terminals and it worked.

Is the LED Flasher unit pretty much mandatory with these new LED lenses?

Maybe its just the fact that its just a newer car, but I run after market LED brake
lights in my 95 Dodge Ram, and both trailers I have, are loaded with LED lights, one
trailer has 15 running lights, and 4, four inch brake lights, and all light are extremely
bright, and the turn signals work just the same as before changing and adding all the
LED lights.

Just curios   :scratchchin:

mine were flashing a bit slower so that's why i made the change.  maybe it was just a 40 year old flasher causing it... I have heard mixed opinions as to whether or not it's necessary.  for a few bucks, i like what I got.

dkn1997,

I just installed these same LED taillights on my 68 Charger and the difference is like night and day!  If anything, it's a matter of being safer on the streets and letting everyone know you're going to turn left or right so they can see you and back off!  I need to get the LED Flasher next and was hoping my local auto parts would have the LED flasher needed for these taillights, looks like I'm out of luck.  Do you have the contact info for the vendor to get the correct LED Flasher?

Thanks
Eddie

I suspect that it's because the wires are/were randomly inserted because it doesn't matter which direction current flows to the light bulbs. Standard bulbs don't care about polarity but LEDs do. LEDs are diodes which only allow current to flow in one direction. Backwards and no current flows so no light.

Typically flashers operate using a cheap metal "switch" that when heated up by the current flow causes the metal to deform, it curls and breaks the connection. When it cools down it springs back to close the "switch". This process repeats and causes the lights to flash...
The big kick (besides brightness) on LEDs is that they use MUCH less power and therefore draw less current. As a result the cheap metal switch meant for higher current conditions takes longer to heat up, deform, and break contact. So it appears to blink slower. The LED versions use a thinner piece of metal or may even do it electronically now.. where it monitors the current, when it is cut back it blinks faster. to warn of a burned out bulb.

The Lights look freaking cool!  :2thumbs: :coolgleamA:

the reflection area is being killed...

but looks A LOT BETTER than the squared housing adaptations

I don't think the outer ring did need to be filled though... maybe for more stockish look... just an opinion

I still think HIDs and LEDs are killer for the rest of drivers. I try to drive on traffic on back of a new SUV with those newer multiple LEDS and those got me blind, getting tired my view
