I can only find back one wire going to the washerbutton, one brown from the main harness. For what is the second "connector"?

Secondly, the wiperswitch uses 2 brown wires apart from the big connector. How does one know which to place where or doesn't it matter? :scratchchin:

looking at a 68 diagram is a bit harder then the new stuff I am use to but if I understand the question right and the diagram. It looks like the wire to the washer button comes from a terminal marked W on the wiper switch and it is a brown wire. The one you say goes into the harness should be the one running out to the washer put itself. It should go to terminal M at the fire wall. An ohm meter will help ID that for you.

two brown wires   go to the washer switch , don't matter which way round  , as by pressing the switch just makes the circuit ,  & the washer pump is already grounded ,  by the washer jar attaching screw :yesnod:

:iagree:

simply like you were splicing both wires, no matter how so you connect, simply will close the circuit

Ok, Thanks, then it seems logic that the 2 brown wires tejped together which I connected to the wiperswitch as you can see should got on the washerbutton?

For the wiperswitch then, maybe it was wrong connected on my car before so should there be any singlewires on the wiperswitch besides
the big connector? It's a 3-speed and to places are free.

Doesn't one of the brown connections from the washer switch run to a free spot on the wiper switch?  And isn't the other one another brown wire which is coming off of the big connector?

sounds logic.

but easier than that... one of them must have continuity with brown wire at bulkhead ( engine area of harness ). It must be the lighter one since the heaviergauge one is to coil/ballast.

the other one looks is a jumper with wiper switch itself
