Break-in

I don't have a run stand but I do have the K-member out of my car.  Has anyone tried doing a break-in with the engine attached to the K-frame, strapped down, everyting including exhaust hooked up? :shruggy:  I want to break it in before I put it back in the car but wondering if this will work?

why not do it in the car? or better yet use a dyno and dial it in at the same time.

I was thinking if I did it out of the car I would put the HP manifolds on then after It was done I would put the TTI's on.  That way I could lift the car and lower it onto the K frame and engine.  Maybe I'm putting to much thought into this and making more work than its worth. :shruggy:
