Sorry to keep linking you guys to the Cramaro site, but ever since Strat posted that link to the "pics from days gone by", I've been checking back there to see what other neat stuff they've posted. Those guys are just a goldmine for cool pics, I tell ya & thankfully they're not posting only the Chebbys. :icon_smile_cool:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

they have five or so more pages since the last time i looked, alot of vintage mopar pics too, though not nessesarily racers...

i linked to some of our "old Picture" threads so they could see what we've been upto but for whatever reason the links don't work, but don't be suprised is some of those bow tie guys show up here.

BTW: The poster of many of the vintage pics - Dog427437 - as it turns out, used to live next door to my uncle in the oakland hills back in the early '60s and it's quite possible we played "army" when i was six with all the other kids in the area...

WTF! are they actually racing four abreast!!!

now help me out here fellas,.. what is this,.. the one in the background, not the LTD... is that a richard petty '69 charger and if so why in tarnation does it say  "PONTI"?..  :shruggy: :scratchchin:

I thought the Mallicoat brothers were pretty alone in that department back in the sixties, people couldn't figure out why they were in the A/Gas supercharged with nothing through the hood (SBC with a twin turbo draw-through setup)  :D

searching the web for a possible match for what would appear to be that '69 charger done up in Petty/STP paint I found this cool pic...

more digging turned up this site with alot of very cool automotive rod, bike and musclecar stuff several nice mopes plus a few chargers incl. one really nice '70...

thanks.. i remember watching that car race when i was younger, plus i had the hot wheels version of it.. i WAS a huge petty fan back in the day.
