How about this!!!  Its kids that gave me this as you call it attitude. these are becoming rare parts ...The cars are beening crushed all the time.. maybe in the future they will remake them and you can pay more than the 150.00 plus the shipping .. For the most part Iam stocking them up so if you are going to find them at a car show or whatever doesnt really matter to me.. I gave the chance to buy them, so as you say go somewhere else and buy them...  enjoy the search..

have a good day !!

Hey, this is cody's dad. You can google cudajimmy and see that he comes from a family that is rooted deep in mopars. I'll find my son some tail lights from someone who will give him respect as a human, and not belittle him as a kid. It's people like you that really hurt the muscle car movement. Remember, you were a kid once, too. How would you feel if someone treated you like that? I'm sure someone probably did at one time or another, and you just seem to have lost touch with where you came from. Like I said, keep your tail lights. Keep your attitude.

Golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Sorry but this is the way I feel.  If the taillights are messed up with the wires then i will go lower but as i remeber them that where good...

Cody, let me start by saying I don't know Cudajimmy nor have I met you. I'm guessing you are fairly young by the statements made, maybe late teens?
Unfortunately your age and interest in cars lumps you in with all the young morons with sport compacts with 8" exhaust pipes and 3' wings who disrespect true car guys. This is not who you are. Sounds like maybe Cudajimmy has had his fair share of young wanna-be's and has copped an attitude...or maybe the guy is an A-hole. I have been in the hobby for a long time and have run into a few Mopar elitists,better-than-you, snob A-holes that I won't deal with. I talk to a young kid from church that is into Chevys. I find it encouraging to see kids that like the old cars.
Don't take it worth a grain of salt, just forget it.You have many years ahead of you to realize the world is full of these kind of people.

Well said.

And by the way, I make fun of the people with the 3' spoilers.  :smilielol:

when I first got into the hobby I had similar experiences. I joined the local mopar club when I was 15, and the jerk president of the club specifically told everyone in the club on the first meeting I attended, NOT to sell me a car because I was a punk kid who would ruin it. Fortunately for me, one of the other heavy hitters in the club who happened to greatly dislike the president took me under his wing and helped teach me alot of what I know about these cars. Plus he has parted out many of these old cars so I can almost always find parts I need just by calling him up! Granted he first talked to me to piss off the president of the mopar club. haha

Did you check back into this thread? If you know how to solder they will serve the purpose until you find better ones. Maybe you could even make a decent one out of this one and the one you have.

Arrogance knows no boundaries! "Mr. Mopar" at Garlits told guys his own age that restore cars for a living that they were wrong...he knows all. Each car is researched and made original as possible. (New metal may be needed). They walk among us...creatures in "the know"! Maybe this guy had a lack of knowledge to hide and the one who was so nasty to Cody didn't want to send pics because they were junk and he knew they were junk. Once he has your money it's hard to get it back.

I know how that feels. I tried to post pictures of my Charger a few years ago in the driveway on this one site I used to go on and they told me to put my dad's car back in the garage and ask before I play with it next time. :rotz:

Let's not forget the website Hardcore Mopar. I was a member there and I enjoyed their forums and rotting Mopar section. I was about 10-11 when I joined. I told them my story and posted pictures of my Charger. They all didn't believe me except for maybe a couple of guys. All were rude to me calling me a liar and everything. I got an email from the admin of the site telling me to stop lying or I'd be gone. I said I had nothing to lie about and the car was actually mine. Got a reply from the admin calling me a lying little brat (that's just the basis of what he said to me) and then I got banned. I felt some evil joy when I found out their site went down the drain

I got A LOT of this I was 14 when I bought my first Charger.  I often was told I did not know what I was talking about (WHEN I DID) or I paid EXTRA for parts becasue my age, when in person.  Now I also had several GREAT expericences by TRUE mopar guys who wanted to see someone fix up a car and get into the hobbie.

I am now 35.  Much has changed but still do reall what your talking about.  Best of luck and I say dont bother with this guy.  No need to.

I can't believe these stories?  I love it when young kids are into these cars.  To me it's a dying hobby, it's something I did as a kid but not what my kids are into.  So when a young kid loves my Charger, I love it because it lets me know It's not just memory lane for me, but really a beautiful car that still attracts young guys.  As for dedicated Mopar people, I admit they have been the hardest to warm up to.  I don't know why, but just Muscle car guys in general seem to be the warmest. When I first made the scene with my Charger in the area, it was not fun.  I heard what seemed like jealous comments all the time.  Now that people around the area know I am a down to earth guy that loved the 69 Charger since 69, all is good.  Some young kid on you tube in my area wrote me yesterday saying he would love to see my car some day, I sent him my email and said, come on down.  What comes around goes around.  Mean people suck.  Young kids on this site is great.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Mike DC

I went through it at as a teenager too.  You can't win with these guys.

If your car is a POS, they give you crap for abusing it.  Doesn't matter if you just bought it 3 hours ago.

And if your car is nice, they give you crap for not deserving/earning it.  Doesn't matter if you've spent several years and tons of your own money/labor on it.

Well I have my own thread started about me !!! WOW
1. It takes time to go get the part out from the areas that I have them. I have sent pics to many members and gave them the price just like cody !! Before I send out pics.. That is for the tire kickers out there and yes they can say the price is good and still do the same thing waste my time.. I have alot of parts to go through..
2. As far as Quality I have over 900 + feedback on ebay and I describe what iam selling. I have nothing to hide. My feedbacks say that I describe the parts correctly ..
3. Maybe I was to hard on young cody but thats just the way it went..
4. I kind of think its funny that being that he wants to get into the adult Mopar hobby he has to get his dad involved....Take care of your own problems and grow up !!!   :Twocents:

5. Anyone that has bought parts off of me in person know that Iam a good guy and will help if I can.  :Twocents:

Hey Cody,

First off you're a young man, definitely not a kid  You bring out the best in us because you, now, are where we were "back in the day" and enjoying this wonderful old car hobby. I'm lucky to be reliving my gearhead youth through you. Stand your ground.............you've got peeps here!

Well... if you were to talk to my son that way, whether you believe he needs to grow up to be in a "adult" hobby (never knew you HAD to be an adult to enjoy mopars btw), I would have been pissed off too.

I dont know you, you could have had a bad day, one too many morons asking you stupid questions, I have no idea... but remember this:  "you do a good job, the consumer may tell one person, you do a bad job, the consumer will tell 10 people about how you mistreated them"

you could have handled it better and I think you know that.  just my two pennies.

Your own thread be proud. Yes it takes time to get the part and photograph it however that is what it takes. Photos should be posted so you don't have to "send pics" each time someone requests. By doing so you would not "waste your time" on such requests. You weren't hard on Cody, you were rude, there's a large difference. He didn't get his dad involved, his dad is involved. In other words there is a close knit family here and you are ridiculing this. I like that Cody's father is involved in his life and hobbies. Most parents now don't seem to know where their child is let alone what they are interested in. Cody has behaved more maturely than you in this matter. In each reply that you have made you have snidely referrenced Cody's age...not his knowledge. FYI he is a very well spoken young man who has a true love for these cars.

I didnt personally ask my dad to get involved. Im not a little bitch like that. He decided what you said was rude.
If someone says ok all i need is pics then that means they want them and ready for pictures. Dont accuse me of being a little kid. I have bought more parts than you think i have. I have owned several mopars and only 17. Im not dumb, and i know what im doing.

When I sell parts (rarely), I post pictures of the part. Actually, I probally go overboard with pictures just to make sure the buyer knows exactly what they are getting. Not posting pictures and then getting pissy when somebody asks for pictures is just stupid and immuture. From what I read, you pretty much want the buyer to commit to buying the item before you send pictures. That's not how it works. If you look on here, a lot of for sale threads have pictures. If they don't, then pictures are available at request. :Twocents:
