How about this!!!  Its kids that gave me this as you call it attitude. these are becoming rare parts ...The cars are beening crushed all the time.. maybe in the future they will remake them and you can pay more than the 150.00 plus the shipping .. For the most part Iam stocking them up so if you are going to find them at a car show or whatever doesnt really matter to me.. I gave the chance to buy them, so as you say go somewhere else and buy them...  enjoy the search..

have a good day !!

Hey, this is cody's dad. You can google cudajimmy and see that he comes from a family that is rooted deep in mopars. I'll find my son some tail lights from someone who will give him respect as a human, and not belittle him as a kid. It's people like you that really hurt the muscle car movement. Remember, you were a kid once, too. How would you feel if someone treated you like that? I'm sure someone probably did at one time or another, and you just seem to have lost touch with where you came from. Like I said, keep your tail lights. Keep your attitude.

Golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Cody, let me start by saying I don't know Cudajimmy nor have I met you. I'm guessing you are fairly young by the statements made, maybe late teens?
Unfortunately your age and interest in cars lumps you in with all the young morons with sport compacts with 8" exhaust pipes and 3' wings who disrespect true car guys. This is not who you are. Sounds like maybe Cudajimmy has had his fair share of young wanna-be's and has copped an attitude...or maybe the guy is an A-hole. I have been in the hobby for a long time and have run into a few Mopar elitists,better-than-you, snob A-holes that I won't deal with. I talk to a young kid from church that is into Chevys. I find it encouraging to see kids that like the old cars.

when I first got into the hobby I had similar experiences. I joined the local mopar club when I was 15, and the jerk president of the club specifically told everyone in the club on the first meeting I attended, NOT to sell me a car because I was a punk kid who would ruin it. Fortunately for me, one of the other heavy hitters in the club who happened to greatly dislike the president took me under his wing and helped teach me alot of what I know about these cars. Plus he has parted out many of these old cars so I can almost always find parts I need just by calling him up! Granted he first talked to me to piss off the president of the mopar club. haha

Did you check back into this thread? If you know how to solder they will serve the purpose until you find better ones. Maybe you could even make a decent one out of this one and the one you have.

Arrogance knows no boundaries! "Mr. Mopar" at Garlits told guys his own age that restore cars for a living that they were wrong...he knows all. Each car is researched and made original as possible. (New metal may be needed). They walk among us...creatures in "the know"! Maybe this guy had a lack of knowledge to hide and the one who was so nasty to Cody didn't want to send pics because they were junk and he knew they were junk. Once he has your money it's hard to get it back.

Let's not forget the website Hardcore Mopar. I was a member there and I enjoyed their forums and rotting Mopar section. I was about 10-11 when I joined. I told them my story and posted pictures of my Charger. They all didn't believe me except for maybe a couple of guys. All were rude to me calling me a liar and everything. I got an email from the admin of the site telling me to stop lying or I'd be gone. I said I had nothing to lie about and the car was actually mine. Got a reply from the admin calling me a lying little brat (that's just the basis of what he said to me) and then I got banned. I felt some evil joy when I found out their site went down the drain

I got A LOT of this I was 14 when I bought my first Charger.  I often was told I did not know what I was talking about (WHEN I DID) or I paid EXTRA for parts becasue my age, when in person.  Now I also had several GREAT expericences by TRUE mopar guys who wanted to see someone fix up a car and get into the hobbie.

I am now 35.  Much has changed but still do reall what your talking about.  Best of luck and I say dont bother with this guy.  No need to.

Tom

I can't believe these stories?  I love it when young kids are into these cars.  To me it's a dying hobby, it's something I did as a kid but not what my kids are into.  So when a young kid loves my Charger, I love it because it lets me know It's not just memory lane for me, but really a beautiful car that still attracts young guys.  As for dedicated Mopar people, I admit they have been the hardest to warm up to.  I don't know why, but just Muscle car guys in general seem to be the warmest. When I first made the scene with my Charger in the area, it was not fun.  I heard what seemed like jealous comments all the time.  Now that people around the area know I am a down to earth guy that loved the 69 Charger since 69, all is good.  Some young kid on you tube in my area wrote me yesterday saying he would love to see my car some day, I sent him my email and said, come on down.  What comes around goes around.  Mean people suck.  Young kids on this site is great.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Mike DC

I went through it at as a teenager too.  You can't win with these guys.

If your car is a POS, they give you crap for abusing it.  Doesn't matter if you just bought it 3 hours ago.

And if your car is nice, they give you crap for not deserving/earning it.  Doesn't matter if you've spent several years and tons of your own money/labor on it.

Well I have my own thread started about me !!! WOW
1. It takes time to go get the part out from the areas that I have them. I have sent pics to many members and gave them the price just like cody !! Before I send out pics.. That is for the tire kickers out there and yes they can say the price is good and still do the same thing waste my time.. I have alot of parts to go through..
2. As far as Quality I have over 900 + feedback on ebay and I describe what iam selling. I have nothing to hide. My feedbacks say that I describe the parts correctly ..
3. Maybe I was to hard on young cody but thats just the way it went..
4. I kind of think its funny that being that he wants to get into the adult Mopar hobby he has to get his dad involved....Take care of your own problems and grow up !!!   :Twocents:

5. Anyone that has bought parts off of me in person know that Iam a good guy and will help if I can.  :Twocents:

Your own thread be proud. Yes it takes time to get the part and photograph it however that is what it takes. Photos should be posted so you don't have to "send pics" each time someone requests. By doing so you would not "waste your time" on such requests. You weren't hard on Cody, you were rude, there's a large difference. He didn't get his dad involved, his dad is involved. In other words there is a close knit family here and you are ridiculing this. I like that Cody's father is involved in his life and hobbies. Most parents now don't seem to know where their child is let alone what they are interested in. Cody has behaved more maturely than you in this matter. In each reply that you have made you have snidely referrenced Cody's age...not his knowledge. FYI he is a very well spoken young man who has a true love for these cars.

When I sell parts (rarely), I post pictures of the part. Actually, I probally go overboard with pictures just to make sure the buyer knows exactly what they are getting. Not posting pictures and then getting pissy when somebody asks for pictures is just stupid and immuture. From what I read, you pretty much want the buyer to commit to buying the item before you send pictures. That's not how it works. If you look on here, a lot of for sale threads have pictures. If they don't, then pictures are available at request. :Twocents:

I agree with you on this statement and also on the other member statment also about if it was his kid also. But if you what someone to buy something but they are requesting photos sense there is none posted of the said items. Well it took you time enough to post a sale thread, well take some time and take photos of the item/s. That way you won't probably end up in something like this.  :shruggy:

But if you want someone to buy something from you, you can not get lippy with them as that is sure one way to push the buyer away from you.

that last part about "as I remember they were good" well that instills me with confidence as a buyer.  If taking a picture is too much work, then maybe you should stick to selling the parts in person although from the tone of that email you sent him I don't think you are spending your parts money on charm school lessons so I can't imagine a face to face transaction with you would be pleasant.

Typical attitude in this hobby from people who have a big stash or are more than casual sellers....instead of treating potential buyers like customers in a businesslike manner,  they get all high and mighty because they have something you want.

Here we go!!! I have tons of parts that I have been collecting for a long while now.. I guess all of you know what condition all you stuff is in unless you buy it in person keep it. When you parts out alot of cars parts start to go any where you can find room. Of coarse If you had time on your hand to locate and always put stuff where it belongs. it wouldnt be a problem. As far as a price if you DONT like the price go somewhere else >>>  I would Too <<<  If you need it then Price isnt an option for some.. I think the price was a reasonable price I could of said I wanted 300.00 for the taillights and then 150.00 wouldnt look so bad...Theres a saying that go you can buy it cheap now or you can buy it later with more $$$$$$$..  As far as attitude I have a very good attitude just dont got time for games or bs. I have to deal with over 3,400 Very Bad people adults and kids every day I go to work .. Some of you maybe should look at yourself and stop calling the kettle black. unless your a perfect little Angel..

If anyone of you has the parts for cody. I dont see any of you jumping up and down to say hey cody I have the parts you need... HELP him out instead of letting him suffer to get his charger back on the road. What kind of people would do that  :shruggy: :shruggy: :shruggy:

What kind of people would do that  :shruggy: :shruggy: :shruggy:

fwiw, i've been dealing with moparone on a steering column for a couple of weeks now and he has been very helpful and patient while i get the funds together.

If I had a 3rd gen with parts I would. before you make comments like that you should see the help and parts that have been sent to Bronze, another "Kid". Don't throw stones if you don't know the facts. not all of us are asses to Kids in the hobby... unless they own a Honda ;) There are several "Kids" in my area trying to get old darts and dusters on the road. I have given them A body and Small Block stuff. and "Suffering" to get parts and working to get parts help bring one closer to their car. It's a lesson that needs to be learned... also I guess the lesson is their are asshats in this world as well.

I don't know you. You don't know me. You could be the nicest guy in the world for all I know. but you're just not coming off well. But who cares right? It's just the internet ;) Im the opposite, Im nice online but a real ass in person ;)

Ohhh, and there are many people in my area with TONS of mopar parts that they have horded for years. They make their prices and I except that. But they are nice, courteous, and are a pleasure to deal with because they know how to conduct business.

Pssst you sure you dont want these, for free. The ones with the lenses had the wires cut rather short. The other one have all the wiring. If you want the lense tell me, also free. Actually its not free its for the price of shipping and you must give at least one part away sometime in your life for free to somebody.

Don't worry about it, Cody. Sometimes the idiots in this hobby do us a favor and weed themselves out like this guy is doing right now. Pretty soon someone will post his Ebay username and we'll start throwing it around the Mopar network and before long he'll be working at 7-11 in the morning and McDonald's at night.

Cody, I also have a couple of tail light housings that you are more than welcome to...... FOR FREE! Personally, I simply refuse to deal with sellers like that.  For every 1 of those type sellers, there are 50 good ones....Customer service really is dead

bordin34, yours were probably in quite a bit better shape than mine, anyway.

Cody, I don't know you but I was once a hard headed "kid" and used to get under my auto mechanic's teacher's skin DAILY in HS..(Bless his heart, I still keep in touch with him)..I didn't know hot to do alot of the things that were linda "Trivial" to him, but would always ask ALOT of questions, some of which were kinda contrary to his way of solving the problem at hand...I owe EVERYTHING I have built and my MOPAR heritage to him. I lost my father at age 13 to sucide and if it weren't for "Mr. Gray", I don't know where I would be today, much less into the car hobby. You are right to feel the way you do about how you were treated. Thing is, it seems nowadays, EVERYBODY as I'm 37, seem to be getting treated this way by "Dealers" of these parts. I have been told the same thing too. It would seem that people are asking folks to just hurry up and bend over and buy from me or go away. Well, Someone taught you correctly in wanting to see pictures of what your opening your wallet FOR! Not an unreallistic request IMO. If you want to sell your parts, well guess what??? You are gonna have to deal with the public and all that goes with it...Don't let it get you down, and I don't have much for the third Gen Chargers as far as body parts go, but driveline parts I have..If you need anything, I can't guarantee the lowest, Smokin' deal, but I will at least deal with you...Just lemme know brother...

There are times I'd rather give things away then sell them. I've met more members here who have a heart of gold than anything else.. $$ doesn't seem to be the driving factor to a LOT of members here, and I can really appreciate that!!!

But I'm feeling Generous.. Cody, I have a back seat passenger side '69 Charger armrest that I'll GIVE You.. Yep.. I know.. You don't have to say it, I can sense your joy from here. You're welcome, bud

I can't say that I do.. But, I'll be listing (with pictures) all of my left-over parts soon.. They'll be free to people that can use them. Some of these were cheap/free to me, so I have no desire to profit off of them.
