and old imperials and Cadillacs and a few upper class American cars.  :icon_smile_big: :icon_smile_big:

You'll learn wing.  Well I got to get back to work.   Later all

The Imperials had straight 8's?? :shruggy: :shruggy: :shruggy: :shruggy: :shruggy: :shruggy: :shruggy:

All kinds of American cars had straight 8's.  Most of the luxury makes did at one time or another and in the case of the Imperial they ran one from 1931 to 1950.

Nice to see someone of your age taking an intrest in this stuff.

Dad and Grandpa's '51 Buick had a straight 8 in it.  Dad always said that was the smoothest running engine he's ever heard.

Then he cut it down to the bare frame and made a jalopy out of it.   :slap:

Got a little off topic, sorry.   :scratchchin:

I don't mind.  It's my thread and I have been way off subject a time or two.

I wouldn't have posted those other pics if I didn't want to hear people talking about them.  On that note.  Here is another crazy wrecking yard car I found.

Yep.  It was a Yellowstone park tour car. Supposedly there were 5 of them build for that. There are 4 doors on the pass side and only 2 on the driver side.

We should start a thread with the strangest cars you have ever found in a yard.

Good idea, I need somewhere else to put this pic. :icon_smile_tongue:
(it's not a wrecking yard, but...)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

What was the outcome of the Super Bee in the junkyard?

Yeah I wanna know too! It'd be awesome if it was an M, too bad it can't be salvaged though :(
Always sad to see such wicked cars rot somewhere.

C_stripes

Not sure. I haven't been up that way since I took the pics. I am still working on getting pics of the engine. The guy that owns the engine isn't sure what he wants to do right now. But I will try to get the numbers from the engine. If I get the chance to get back up to Montana, I will check it out.

Are all six pack vins in the registry?
No, there are currently 319 VIN's listed on the A12 Registry.
I have a personal list of over 700 A12 VIN's. I'd be interested in finding out more about the Super Bee.

C_stripes

Here is a link to one of the A12 engines. I didn't get pics of the first one we spoke about because the guy can't make up his mind.
