My son totalled his car today but is OK!

I bought my son a car for Xmas and he recently got his license. I got a call today and he had an accident. The car is totaled but he is OK. I feel so bad for him as he loves the car and wants to fix it. I will take a closer look and see if it is repairable. In the meantime I will find another car for him so he can get on the road again as he is working as a pizza delivery driver.

He has had a run of bad luck lately. He is trying to get a football scholarship and was at in Vancouver playing last weekend as the scouts were there and 4 plays in he blew his knee out after hitting a hole in the field. It seems like he just can't win these days. I feel bad for him.

I am happy he is OK! His seat belt did not lock on impact so he ate the steering wheel but only cut his nose and received a goose egg on his head.

The police officer was great and did not charge him which was nice. It was wet out and he started spinning in first and shifted to second and lost it. I guess he should have spent more wheel time behind some of my cars!!

Oh well, all is well that ends well!

Ouch, that had to have hurt. Glad he's okay! Exactly how we crashed my dad's '90 5.0 Mustang (which oddly enough is on the other side of the wall I'm looking at)....it was wet, my dad went to shift from 3rd to 2nd going into a corner and BAM, steel lamp post.

glad he's ok. Cars are replaceable and people are not. Little beater is good to have as first car, that way when you get into accident you won't miss it much. I'm sure you can find him a better car.

I agree but he loves the car! Will see what we can find him. I would make him a great deal on the Duster he helped me put together but with winter on its way it is just not practical for him!

I am just happy he is OK!

His eyes are clear that's very good. Once your heart gets out of your throat you'll both be fine. Cute kid and he will find something that he likes again. Our first car always holds a spot in our heart.

Glad your son is ok, I slid into a tree once in the snow when I was a teenager and smashed up the front end. It was my first car a piece of crap 86 oldsmobile cutlass cierra. I was in college and I worked part time to get it repaired, I  should have just replaced it
