Nope, they banned me for a couple weeks last month and I can tell I ain't wanted there.   That's OK though.

Hi John!           How's the resto's on the birds going?
Actually, the only car that is being restored is the yellow Superbird.   The red, wgite and blue Bird in my sig pic was just being freshened up a little to get it through a few more seasons.   I got invited to bring it to the Super Stock Reunion at York, PA this year for the tribute to Ronnie Sox and it got to sit in the main building with a whole mess of original Sox & Martin race cars and Ronnie autographed it for the second time.   A few weeks after that, we took it to the Mopars Against The World At Ubly $10,000 to the winner bracket race and lasted five rounds to come in in the money for the third year in a row.

Hey thanks Allen!

Well, we've put nearly 7,000 miles on the '06 Charger in just over two months and I have to say that Babrielle and I both absolutely love it.   Even though it's only a V-^ SXT, Gabrielle got into no less than three high speed races on the way to Florida for the Mopars With Big Daddy show.   Even the V-6 has a good bit of pedal left at about 125 MPH.   And at 125, the car is solid as a rock.   I can't even imagine the intensity of an SRT-8 model but I do know that Gabrielle wouldn't have a license for very long if we had gotten anything more than the V-6.   One other thing that we really like is that even after long drives to and from Florida and to Oklahoma, you don't feel like you've been in a car for all them hours.   Driving position and the location of all the controls is allso right where they should be and you don't have to take your eyes off the road for anything.   There's lots more but to sum it up, we absolutely love it.   It's EVERYTHING a proper Charger should be with the added benefit of two extra doors.   My only regret is that the car now lives with Gabrielle and I'm back to driving my '89 Turbo Spirit beater!

Which brings us to your next question about the new Challenger.   If things continue to go well, we'll be getting a new Challenger when they come out next year.   That one will be for me to drive.   The fact that it will be built on a shortened version of the LX platform and will have the same powetrain options a;ready has me sold.   I sure hope it's available in Burnt Orange or GoManGo or Catch Me If You Can Copper or whatever the heck they call it!

Hey John

I have a question for you.   It's always been a wonder to me, what it would be like to drive a 69 Daytona.  But to drive a RHD Daytona must be even more of an eye catcher as well as a thrill to drive......what's it like drivin' a RHD Daytona?  Anything different that common people don't catch or even think about?

A lot of people ask that and to be honest, I was a little intimidated the first time but after about fifteen minutes, driving from the right hand side is not really a whole lot different from driving from the left hand side.  Just ask your mailman!  The only thing that can be a little challenging is making left hand turns from the left turn lane as you have to be a little more careful in looking around the vehicle that is across from you at the intersection!  Other than that, diriving a wing car really ain't a whole lot different than a standard B-body.  Where you really feel the difference is when you're accelerating up past 90 MPH or so.  As you reach 90, you can literally feel the car hunker down and the aerodynamics begin to take over and push the car down to the road.

Hey Chris, long time no see!

Well some of the members over at Moparts may miss me but Tom and his merry band of mods don't want me there no more so I get the message.   Whatever...

I'm looking forward to having fun hanging out here in a more relaxed, not-so-uptight atmosphere.   I just wish I still had my '06 Charger!!!

Sold it already?
No, I more or less bought it for my business associate Gabrielle.  She lives in Oklahoma though so that makes driiving it a little difficult...
