That right, the infamous 30 point buck was recently harvested in my home state of Wisconsin.  We dream about tagging this monster every year..   :2guns:

I only gun hunt, and the bow hunters usually have their pick of the nice ones taken before gun season starts.

If you had a couple grand in seed and fertilizer only to have these bastards eat half your crop, You'd see the point and you'd be damn glad that hunters came in to thin them out.

they dont eat half of mine, just the first 12 rows all the way around the field..... :flame:  plus once you shoot them, you get to eat them  :2thumbs:

That guy lives 10 minutes from me, and he got it a few closer miles from me.

I heard on the news this morning, that Wisconsin is thinking about extending the gun/deer season to 16 days because there are too many deer in the state.

That is a nice buck.  Did he green score it yet?  We don't have too many big bucks like that here in Montana.

Thanks Bull.  Yet another liquid-out-the-nostrils moment caused by one of your comments.

I'm sure bambi is happy with that statement but all I can think is  :brickwall: :brickwall: It's a deer. High deer populations demolish crops. Farmers live off of their crop sales. Seems pretty simple to a midwesterner like me.

Unless you're a strict vegan you're being hypocritical. Do you eat any meat, do you wear or use leather, do you use any products with animal fat? Do you use pet food or paint brushes or soap or dairy products, glue, shoes, brake fluid, synthetic motor oil or luggage? Pull your head out of your keester, silver. It's a lot easier to see that way.

moparguy01

Hey bull, don't forget that plants are living things too. eating them is murder.  :slap:

besides deers are tasty critters. Its awesome to see that such an animal still exists, and if that ever got between my crosshairs it would be as good as on the wall.

Charger74

Silver,

When you have an over population of deer like we do in the midwest.  Trust me, hunting is not only critical, but essential in that it helps keep you from hitting them in your car.

Besides, you can eat a long time off a one deer.   HMMM!!! nothing like some good deer sausage or venision jerky....

Well same here but I only put out enough corn to feed out 3 steers a year so in my case, that's half my corn.   We lease out most of our ground but part of what we get paid is based on what he produces.

thats why I butcher my own. No waiting. You learn where the good cuts are real quick like.

1BAD68

I used to deer hunt for years in Wisconsin and I've never seen a deer go to waste that was killed, even the unfortunate car vs. deer in gun season is quickly butchered.
Besides, theres nothing wrong with killing deer, just ask any motorcycle driver here.

Last year I went to Panama Florida for vacation and there were guys beside us from wisco... you don't lie they brought it with them!  :drool5: Best neighbors I've ever had!

What's the point?
Besides eating crops they wreck a LOT of cars,  including a Daytona in the aero section last month.
Lose a friend to a deer in the road and you'll go shopping for a rifle too.

Agree, let's kill all the deers! Other day I had porcupine on the road, almost busted my tire. Let's exterminate those too! There were numerous attacks on little children with bulldogs, let's exterminate them and ban them everywhere. Let's just get rid of anything that could hurt us or our friends. What a joyous world it would be....kind of like heaven??

It's pretty pathetic that you are so narrow minded that you can't even see the point of population control. No one said, "Hey let's wipe out every deer on the planet!" Keep rambling your idiotic messages Silver, some day you might be right.
