I am trying to figure out my hard shifting problem in my Charger, I had the tranny rebuilt and since getting it back it has shifted very hard, not smooth into the gate at all, before it was like butter.

I have adjusted the clutch, shifter, tried another shifter, etc.

I am wondering if the shop put the shift forks in backwards or swapped them when they put it back together.

Has anyone experienced this?  What would the car shift like if the forks were swapped?  Would it even shift?

What sort of clutch do you have? Consider the possibility that the clutch isn't fully releasing, or the pressure plate isn't flat.
