1973 Challenger....WIW?

My dad and me went and looked at a '73 Challenger today for sale. Wondering what it's worth. It's a factory 318 2bbl auto car. Buckets & console. Red with a white vinyl top and white interior. Magnum 500s. Fender tag is missing. Lower quarters and lower parts of the fenders have bondo. Vinyl top is bubbled in some spots (not rust bubbles...like popped up) but the roof seems solid as far as I could tell. Paint is apperentley 4 years old and shines nice. Dash pad is cracked, console door dosen't close properly. Needs new armrests and carpet. Front floor pans seem decent but minor rust. Could use a trunk floor or atleast extensions (has a hole about 2x2 inches). Ran kind of rough but then again, it was cold today and the car wasn't warmed up. One exhaust pipe sits tilted for some reason. They painted the top half of the engine but not the bottom. Some of the gauges don't work. Underside (frame rails) seem good.

I don't know the worth but one thing is sure... RALLYE CLUSTER!!! and thats cool. Even on weird and worthly E bodies this cluster is not completelly common. It looks a cool car to have

I'd guess 5K...maybe 6k.

With dough in the quarters there probably more hidden surprises lurking

Lots of 318's were built (even 318 w/Rallye pkg). Rallyes were standard with 318, 340 was optional.

I can't tell if that's an A57 Rallye pkg car because Rallyes should have a blacked out grille, however the hood is correct for a 318 Rallye car and so is the dash so who knows?

I'd say about $18,500.....         That's U.S. dollars Cody, not Canadian goats.

2 barrells usually didn't get the rally dash or hood unless its a 857 code car. Challengers are cool though...so thinkin...without knowing what the options are worth, since there's no fender tag...if as decent as you could go about $6000-13,000. No rally scoops on the fenders to go with the rally options. No A/C hook up so probably a northern car...go back get under it see how bad the rust on the bottom of the car is...look at the exhaust and see if there are two cut outs for the exhausts. That's Marks opinion...E-bodies are hot cars right now..for the right price you could have a cool cruiser, without the fender tag it won't be worth mega money.

Well, me and my dad found this car sitting about a year ago. My dad asked the guy if it was for sale and the guy said no. Apperentley he was the original owner, came upon hard times recentley and needed the cash so sold it to a dealer. The dealer wanted $16,500 for it. Lowered it to $15,800. They dropped down to $13,900 on the phone. My dad said he would be interested for under $10,000.
