Wow, a '70 RR getting love.  You don't see that too often.  It's usually a '69 RR with the A12 being rightly named.

A good article but some inaccuracies - W2 heads on the T/A, AAR? I don't think they appeared till the mid '70's and although the Lil Red was supposed to get them - it didn't. Cool seeing all the Mopes on there. I have owned Boss Mustangs (302 and 429) and I can tell you, they don't make enough power to pull the skin off of rice pudding!  :icon_smile_big: Overall - some good iron in there.  :2thumbs:

jaak

WTF? No Chargers? I demand a re-count, LOL.

Hi Cody, I'm tired and miserable. But no use complaining cause nobody gives a $hit anyway.

71ChallengeHer

I knew the article wasn't perfect. Just thought it was kinda cool there were 4 Mopars in the top 10.  :shruggy:

69 OUR/TEA

With Buicks being my other choice of musclecars,I'd gladly take number 5!!!!!!  :yesnod:

What you talkin' about? 70 and 69 get love all the time.

There's never any, not even a hug, for the 68 Hemi RR.  :'(

No Charger, no credibility. Probably just backlash on the Generals.

It seems like the Hemi or 440-6 pack Roadrunners get more publicity as great track cars than the Charger. Of course the exception is the Dodge charger Daytona winged cars but the regular Chargers do not get the same respect.  :shruggy: maybe it is the wind tunnel testing thing they did on regular Chargers and how the open grill slowed them down on the track, that's why the Dodge 500 was created. The feeling by some was that the Charger was one of the most beautiful muscle cars ever, but it's beautiful design was also a detriment on the track.

The Charger is the most handsome (IMHO) of the B-Bodies but the article is musclecars. Let's face it - the Road Runner brought the affordable musclecar concept to the masses - especially the youth movement. It was a key player in this.

:smilielol: I'm not really too offended if they did 5/10 they would have come across a little biased.  They probably could have replaced the dart though.. I mean seriously... its The F'king Charger.

Woooops, time to laugh at me. :hah: There it is, 68 is listed. 68 RR gets a hug and I missed it. :pity:

Regarding the handsome-ness of the Charger: ain't so. The Road Runner is the handsome one, the Charger is the feminine beauty. Before anyone yells too loud, you know that's right. It makes for a balanced universe, each being the perfect muscle car but with a different inherent nature.

The Charger is female, rounded and sensuous. You just have to drive it.
The Road Runner is male, strong and proud. It drives you.

The Charger is beautiful. The Road Runner is handsome. The Charger is flashy and pricey. The Road Runner is lean and mean.

And before anyone goes off, I did not say Chargers are girly or gay. Chargers have a perfect, rounded, nuturing essence to the shape of the steel and the front and rear ends. THAT IS WHY guys want one. Road Runners are stout, bold and straight. No way does the word beautiful apply to the Road Runner (68-69 to be specific).

Chrysler stylists knew exactly what they were doing. Look at the changes that took place for 71 and later. The universe remains in balance because of the nature of these two 68 and 69 Mopars.  :2thumbs:

I have to agree with you as well.
There is no way a person could not think the Charger was anything but feminine in shape.
It's got that 36-24-36 body!! I'm sure it's totally subliminal, but guys are really attracted to this car - for more reasons than just the power between the fenders!
