Actually she is and for the most part she is very patient with my automotive obsessions.  I could have done much much much worse.
Sometimes we just don't like to talk about it. Glib answer is about taking yourself too seriously...we don't want to imagine life without you...I would miss Mark but we have taken care of all these things. No one goes in the garage after he passes but Ray. I wouldn't know what to do with the 65 Belvedere race car...Ray will. Charger stays with me...Dart stays with me...and I keep the trailers and tow trucks so I can still go to shows. Same if I go first...but he'll have to sell the Charger...no other chick in my seat or I'll haunt him! lmao!

Well my boy has loved my 73 since he was 2, and he owned into it as well.It would go to him along with my tools and most of my guitars. My little girl would get my 2006 Charger R/T.How cool would it be to say you drive the car you drove home in from the hospital. They would divide up my guitars too.I have more in them anyway...HA.I know my wife would not get rid of anything of mine, she would give it all to my kids...

My wife, would have them all for sale along with the mopad and my other rental buildings before the dirt would settle.  I have told her to check the values before simply selling them off at 5k a piece or best offer :o  I don't think either of my kids have any interest.

What plans have you told your mate/wife?

A few years ago when a friend of mine died at the age of 47, it was a wake up call that s**t happens. I made sure to get all 6 classic cars legally in my name so there'd be no hassle for my wife & daughter proving ownership. In New York state, anything older than 1974 doesn't have a title, it has a transferable registration. I registered & insured all of them, but have since sold one, & have 5 left. All my wife has to do is show the marriage & death certificates after she decides what she's doing with them.

The 5 cars would be the easy part for her, I'd hate to have to go through the attic, the basement, the shed, both floors of the garage & see what's in the 26,583 boxes of parts.  :smilielol:

What to do with my hot rods?  That alone has my family & my wife not talking to each other.

When I went to sleep for a few days my Mom, brother & sister flew up here.  One night the conversation of selling my cars' came up.  Nothing was known yet but my wife wanted to contact a good friend who buys & sells cars about mine.  My Mom & family was pissed that she didn't give me time to come out of it & was already selling off my prized possessions.

To this day there's still no communication.  You know some days I think my other half planned it this way.
My brother wanted to contact a friend about loaning him the money for my Charger.  I guess my wife laughed at him.  She's been watching too much BJ.  ;)

Until I get a will made out, it's pretty obvious what would happen to my stuff.

When I die, I will be buried in my Charger, inside an above ground grave made to look like a garage, it will have windows so people can look in and admire me, and the Charger. The garage grave will be locked, but if someone tries to break in and get it, my body will be spring loaded so that it will fling my lifeless corpse among the intruders. :2thumbs:

All of my worldly possesions are rigged to detonate at exactly 19 minutes and 69 seconds after my heart ceases to function.

As far as mine when I die....haven't really thought about it. Like to see another Mopar fan end up with 'em.

One of the things I had thought about is building a portion of a museum that would have unfinished car projects set up like a memorial around my resting place (got that idea from my sister who suggested burying me in a junkyard).  In the grave, I would still take one particular Charger with me (just to keep it out of the hands of a particular set of relatives that want it).  Yes, I know you can't take it really with you, but I would still like to try.....

Maybe they could create a Mopar cemetary with above ground tombs big enough to fit the Chargers inside, kind of like down in New Orleans where all of the graves are above ground   Seriously the idea of taking a car with you or being buried in one is a little selfish. These cars need to stay among the living so the Mopar legacy will live on.

I agree I would imagine the original owners of my cars are at least close to the dirt matress, and I am sure glad they didn't decide to be buried in there cars :Twocents:  I love my cars and I hope some one else can feel the same pride, joy, love and frustration I have enjoyed :2thumbs:  Speaking of frustration on more than one occasion I have considered destroying my cars on my own :RantExplode:
