TRACK IS PORTLAND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY. MY TIRE SIZES ARE 275-50-15 AND 295-50-15 BFGOODRICH RADIAL T/AS. THEY AREN'T THE BEST FOR THIS KIND OF USE BUT THEY WORKED. I HAVE 12 ROTORS IN FRONT WITH SOME PADS I BOUGHT FRONT DICK AT FIRM FEEL. HAD NO BRAKING ISSUES WHAT EVER. CAR WEIGHS 4200 WITH ME IN IT. RAN CONSISTENT 1:49'S WITH THE CHICANE ABOUT 115 ON THE STRAIGHT AWAYS. CASCADE SPORTS CAR CLUB HAS QUITE A FEW TRACK DAYS ON FRIDAY BEFORE THEIR RACES. WOULD BE A GREAT TIME FOR US MOPAR GUYS TO TAKE OUR CARS OUT THERE. CHECK OUT THEIR WEBSITE http://www.cascadesportscarclub.org/

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Found a video of the car at track. This was the second session  before I got more comfortable taking it into the corners faster. Bill

Excellent! How fast did you get the bird going that day?

Also, is it just me or was there no sound on that video?

No sound here. The poster of the video on Youtube said all you could hear was wind.

The car the video was taken in was a convertible so there was a lot of wind noise. Friday I got it up to 115 on the back stretch. Saturday and Sunday we gave 2 lap rides on the second lap we when through the chicane not around it and got the car up to 120. I have a 1986 pontiac transam race car that I have gone through the novice race program. I qualified for the Senior race and qualified second in my class the first time out. Unfortunately the chevy motor let go. Bill

NOW THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO SEE!! Another wing car out there rippin' it up  :2thumbs:  What are you running suspension wise? Shocks, torsion bars, control arms, swaybars, etc... after watching the car looks very compliant and really isn't exhibiting a lot of body roll... it really looks great out there.

moparstuart

oh hell yes  , great video .  My car would be body rolling all over the place .

GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

Way cool Bill.  :2thumbs:  You were doing pretty good with the girlymatic.

Any of the kids' get sick?  I rode with a buddy in his Mustang on a Shelby club day.  He said one year one of his work partners almost tossed his cookies.  His tires were lacking in the tread department.  He said once they got warm they'd stick.  What a kick in the pants.  He'd pitch it around the corners & be right on the edge of losing it every time.  I loved it.

While I was there someone confronted me & told me about a paraplegic that used to have track records in his class.  :o

HPP

Do you run in HPDE 1, 2, or 3?

Have you autocrossed and how do you like the HPDE compared to autocross?

daytonakid

Mr car has 383 torsion bars. Quickor large sway bar up front and rear sway bar. hemi leaf springs, kyb shocks,12 rotors up front carbon metallic pads stock control arms. 275/50/15 t/a's up front and 295/50/15 t/a's on rear. Before next time I'll put on bigger torsion bars, stiffer shocks, ducted air to rotors 16 inch sticker tires. Maybe I'll put the aluminium headed 500 in it. I ran in hpde 1 I have never autocrossed
