Max, I am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Your car, and the work he did on it, will always be with you and will be a reminder of your friendship. 

If this was a hit & run I hope they find the coward that hit him and throw the book at him. If for no other reason, to give the family (and friends) some closure.

Probably some drunk SOB that hit him. He probably didn't even know he did it until he found out on the news and put 2 and 2 together. Now he's too chicken$4it to turn himself in. :flame:
