I am restoring my 68 charger. What air cleaner was correct for the 68 440 Magnum? Balck? Chrome? snorkel?
What is the proper way to paint the engine bay? Paint the hood springs/ supports the color of the car?
Does anyone have a pic of a factory 68 charger 440 engine bay they could post up?

Im not looking to do a perfect exact restore of the engine bay, I just want it close to how it should look.
Thanks

Along the same lines....Which valve cover fasteners were bolts and which were studs/nuts and why?  Thanks.

Engine bay, hood springs, etc. were all body color. No Ford or Chevy flat black shortcuts in Moparland.

Thanks for the help, that is exactly what I was looking for.

I noticed that some blocks are painted different colors. What would be the correct color to paint a 440 engine in a 68 charger? Orange?
