gas tank

just had some bodywork done, a trunk floor included and am wondering just how far the gas tank fits at the bumper end. does anyone have a photo or two on the placement on how it sits up there?

Don't have any pics but I remember that mine set almost all the way back to the rear cross member, less than an inch gap.  I think when you hang it with the straps it should assume the right position, just don't let it touch the rear cross member.  More importantly is that the filler tube lines up right.  I would make the adjustment based on that.


I'll dig out my old Discs and see what I can find.
