Probably something like 17x9" if you're literally matching the chop job.

And maybe 275/55R17 tires, but that's tough to call because it depends on the width. 



I don't think that combo would fit into the stock car w/o cutting even if you did get the wheels/tires to match the pic.

I think he's talking about what size would theoretically be needed to take on the actual proportions of the wheel/tire combo in the pic. 



And I don't think that combo is gonna happen without cutting things on the front end as well as the back.

I was pretty close once already..replaced the quarters and stripped all the parts off it to build a GL now I have kinda out grown the GL thing..I have one already

15x7 15x8's now (Vectors) This car now has am AMD '69 tailpanel and a repop '69 grille waitin' on it..car has not been registered since '70..race car ever since...only reason the quarters were replaced is because the PO cut 'em for the Mickey's

You wouldn't want to go with 17" steel stock car style wheel if you thinking of any serious performance driving. The weight on them is enough to produce a performance disadvantage that can be felt by the seat of the pants. i fyour just crusiing, they may be tolerable, but will likely require a big step up in shock absorbers to control the wheel motion.

To simulate the fit on the photochop, I'd guess rear is 15x10 with 5" backspace, 27.5x12 tire and the front would be a 15x8 with 4.75 backspace and a 26x10 tire. Those would probably fit without tubbing, but may require the fender lips to be rolled to prevent the cuts. Back space would be critical to the fit as well. 4.75 is the max you can put on a 15" wheel up front before it hits the upper ball joint, using stock disc brakes.

I have only seen them in 15's anyway, I would not mind a bit sticking with a 15" tire. You should have seen what the 383 did to those 14's that were on there for a trip down the road..  The guy I get my tires from does not mind giving visuals on any of my cars before I pull the trigger. It is not a big worry anyway,,,my car is still in pieces at this point..
